Lets see old Chavez, old Sweat pea and old Camacho.

He lost to every elite prime fighter he faced id go Joe.

Kessler will become a great champion then people will realise.

Lacy was the next Tyson before Calzaghe.

I think you all won't realise how good Kessler is and how good beating him was, until another couple of years are gone.

      But with these wins :
      hopkins
      rjj
      tarver
      dawson

I think Joe C goes down as an all time great.

They are still 4 massive names.

And Before anyone Starts, no, Mikkel Kessler is not on the same level as Pernell Whittaker
        De La Hoya has now.

But now is not the point of the thread is it?

        It's a what if thread.

You refute any notion of Joe potentially being an ATG with up to 3 more huge wins against big name Americans. Factor in that he would have retired undefeated. He'd pretty much have to be an ATG.

It's a big if, we'll start with Hopkins. See where is goes?, you might be right.

But to say he couldn't be an ATG, whatever he does, just seems very harsh, and if he did achieve the things being discussed. You'd be alone in thinking he was just a 'world class fighter.' Aside from dare I say the word.....you know the word.

Your questions are irrelivent to what i said, talk sence.
          1) No he wouldnt.

          2) You mean talk Sense

          3) You wont answer the questions.

I'll re ask you the same ones again, but in a different format hoping you can answer them.

What have you seen in a boxing ring, that can make you think Calzaghe has a better career than mayweather, is a better fighter than mayweather or is more skilled than mayweather?

4)So you think wins over Kessler, Lacy, 43 year old Hopkins and Pavlik would make ring magazine seriously consider dropping mayweather from the p4p spot, assuming he stays undefeated?

Swap Jones for Pavlik, Jones is a shell, shot to bits it would be a mismatch.

Thank you, to confirm, this guy said Joe Calzaghe fought and beat better fighters than Oscar De La Hoya.

Btw, loving the way you compare Mikkel Kessler to pernell Whittaker, knew that one was coming.

Yeh thats a good possibility of happening good point mate.

                So

                Hopkins
                Tarver
                Pavlik
                Dawson

To me that makes Calzaghe an all time great. Very high up there as well.

                    with your emphasis on 'undefeated'

would you at least admit that with these potential wins and an undefeated record Joe would have had a better career than ODLH at the very least and James Toney!

Btw, if Jermaine Taylor beats Kelly Pavlik, is he an all time great? lol, he beat Hopkins twice, plus Pavlik, drew with Winky, those three names alone are pretty much better than anything on Calzaghe's record right now.
