i mean what was chavez when they fought 97-2 with 83 KOS. are you seriously saying that was a legit win for oscar? you are just proving my point on why oscar is such a coward.

chavez has more UNDEFEATED title defenses than oscar has fights and in his prime ,it would not have even been a fair fight. now let's have a real discussion.
Chavez quit. His corner said the cut was ok and he shook his head and said no more. Face it he quit. Chavez is supposedly the standard of what being a Mexican is all about. Even Mexicanos from Mexico that I know acknowlege that for a fact. The people that Chavez beat would pose no challenge to Oscar. Name a fighter that would pose a challenge to Oscar. Chavez after the fight against taylor beat absolutely no one of mention.

I think Chavez had something like 28 or 29 successful title defenses. DLH has 43 fights.
how so? your post doesn't seem verifiable. oscar couldn't even handle a jr welter, two weight classes smaller than him. in what fight did chavez have trouble with a smaller fighter?

What does opposition have to do with what I said? Which 140 pounder are you referring to?

i wasn't referring to any fighter. but in responding to your post about oscar being bigger, stronger and faster; that is the same thing they said about meldrick taylor.

and oscar being bigger, stronger and faster certainly didn't matter against floyd, so i tend to disagree....

You just made a big argument about how past his prime Chavez was against DLH, you believe the DLH that fought Mayweather was in his prime?

Taylor was 5'7 1/2, same height as Chavez, DLH is 5'10 1/2. Taylor was faster than DLH, but how can you even compare their sizes?

John John Molina vs Oscar De La Hoya = Oscar won clearly.
Miguel Angel Gonzalez vs Oscar De La Hoya = Oscar won clearly.
Pernell Whitaker vs Oscar De la Hoya = Oscar won a close fight.
Ike Quartey vs Oscar De La Hoya = Could have gone either way.
Felix Sturm vs Oscar De La Hoya = Could have gone either way.

he's 34 and so was chavez but has only 43 fights as opposed to 96 so it would seem he was a lot closer than was chavez.
