maybe but what you know NOW about De La Hoya's chin don't matter, Trinidad was ALWAYS a body puncher more than anything and what I know NOW about De La Hoya's body is hit him flush and he's down on all four's, Trinidad's punch at Welterweight AGAINST ANOTHER WELTERWEIGHT was harder than Hopkins punch at Middleweight against another Middleweight, even still Trinidad knocked Joppy the **** out in 5 and it took B-Hop way more, same with Cherifi.. my point is that Trinidad at that weight was a much more devastating puncher than at any other weight and not only was he prime but he was looking for a fight that night and didn't get it, I have a feeling that if he did then he would have cleaned up shop, De La Hoya didn't run for no reason yo Oscar is a beast and all but he knew when to box and when to fight since the opening bell he played his position because he knew what type of style he needed to bring in there, he didn't do what he did with Mosley..

come on bro, if you want to debate at least bring some in common sense to the discussion. i'm not trying to disrespect you but come on, we all know chavez was WAY past his prime when they fought and that was the only reason oscar took the fight. surely, you know this too.

i mean what was chavez when they fought 97-2 with 83 KOS. are you seriously saying that was a legit win for oscar? you are just proving my point on why oscar is such a coward.

chavez has more UNDEFEATED title defenses than oscar has fights and in his prime ,it would not have even been a fair fight. now let's have a real discussion.

I respect what you're saying, I guess we disagree on this.

Ayo Crillz the thing with Trinidad is that he got horrible balance. It ain't even that his chin is weak, cuz I never really seen anybody hurt him, but he be losing his footing mad easy, thats why Roy Jones got one of his knockdowns

oscar ran because he had to. if he stood and tried to fight with trinidad like he did with arturo gatti i think he would have gotten ko'd.

Are you serious? Chavez was @ 140 when DLH stepped in the same division... because he wanted to face him. And they had even a rematch!
                  Is this ducking?

When they fought Chavez was 96-1-1!

DLH's styles would have given any version of Chavez trouble. He's bigger, faster, taller has the longer arms, I'm not saying he would win, but Chavez wouldn't blow him out of the water, it'd be a very competitive fight.

I think Chavez had something like 28 or 29 successful title defenses. DLH has 43 fights.
