I didn't even know that. I learned something new today...True, but please give a little context to your statements. N'dou was Floyd's mandatory. People seem to be mad that Floyd isn't fighting mandatories now, but the criticize the ones he did fight and the opponents that he fought in order to become a mandatory (e.g. Corley and Bruseles).
Sosa, only got the fight because Freitas backed out of negotiations two months before the fight was supposed to happen and HBO needed a mostly credible opponent ASAP. Personally, I would have rather seen Floyd fight Casamayor or Freitas, but they each turned down $1.5 mil. So, did Lazcano. Sosa was the best HBO could find.Comment

A fighter who lost a close decision to Spadafora, I guess that is supposed to be impressive or deem someone as credible?
Maybe Cotto should fight Shramba instead... lolComment

Well I can give you two comparable wins. Hicklet Lau is roughly similar in style to Tackie and wasn't shot when Bruseles beat him. Cesar Bazan is a shot former linear lightweight champion who holds a win over Stevie Johnston. He's also beaten Wilfredo Negron, Arturo Urena and Ener Julio. All decent fringe contenders. So, actually now that I look at it Bruseles' record might prove that he's better than Gomez.Comment
