And you know Jones only tested positive once, he beat good fighters in stunning fashion whilst testing negative, the point of the thead was to determine if Cal had any superior attributes, apart from stamina id say no. Cal has been down a few times though of course never stopped but then he hasnt moved up to heavyweight to win a title then come back down to defend at light-heavy all in the space of 6 months. Cal doesnt come close to Roy in terms of style either

Jones showed all the things that made him a great fighter in the olympics in 88, i suppose he was shooting up in the locker room with his team mates? As for the physique argument, wtf? so Ken Norton, George Foreman, Chris Eubank, Meldrick Taylor and countless other fighters who came in fantastic physical condition were all juicing aswell??

I can agree with some of that but i ask what does he do better than a peak Jones? He certainly is'nt faster and he certainly looked like he'd done 12 rounds v Bika. I really dislike the way he uses the inside of the glove (something he does less these days), he still has Bute at 168. I also think JC v a 43 year old is embarrasing, he has gained plenty of exposure in the u.s by beating Lacy,Manfredo,Kessler and surely a fight v Dawson would be a better challenge. I'm thinking back to when Jones stopped Hill and broke ribs with a single shot, knocked opponents down with lead left uppercuts/with hands behind back, fired off lightning combinations(and i mean lightning) joe has imo never done anything exceptional like that, he may have, thats why im asking

If Calz DIDN'T give Hopkins the very easy spanking that's coming, most people would still say he ducked Hop and never fought a "top American" -- (the ones who say that were not paying attention to Lacy pre-Joe). Hop is also Ring champ at 175 and it's only just that Joe gets to be the one to rid him of that title. Joe has earned it.

But I agree he should cap it off by taking on a younger guy. Dawson would be the best match, but in terms of exposure and network preference, he's not likely to be top of the list.

NO it aint ***ed up, Joe Calzaghe is a true champoin!! I have gave my reasons they are all based on facts..And with Hopkins he wasnt intrest in fighting Joe many years ago as he knew the score..Thats why he priced himself out of the fight..Agreed a price then doubled it a few days later FACT. Yea Calzaghe has been knocked down but he got up and won the fight..I do remember Jones getting knocked out and didnt even get up at 10..

A negative is a negative, you cant speculate. Its got to be put in perspective, Roy tested positive ONCE, and the steroid in his system was a substance that could be found in sports drinks! Certainly not something which can give you 'extra' boxing skill, which Jones had in abundance. Joe couldve fought Hopkins and Jones years ago but it was up to him to chase them not the other way around, Hatton was a huge draw over here but he still went to the u.s to chase Mayweather and got the fight. If JC was that concerned about legacy he wouldve packed his bags. Its taken JC 10 years to do what David Haye has done in 21 fights
