Just decided to learn it in my own time because I fell in love with Italy and want to keep going back, more and more off the beaten track where you need the language more.

A man who throws 12 punches a fight has nae chance against a volume puncher like Wee Joe who fights for the full 12.

He simply did not wanna come to america. The difference between Joe Calzaghe and Ricky Hatton is.........one guy got rid of Frank Warren and even had to go to court to free himself and started fighting in America and the other guy felt comfortable just selling out in Whales making safe paydays for the most part.
the reason he didn't wanna fight in the US is because he doesn't wanna lose. he's excuse was "why do i have to go to the states and sell 18,000 where i can do it here in my backyard and sell 50,000", and then there was " i'm terrified of flying". but wtf was he doing in vegas when hatton fought floyd? he finally find the balls to fight hopkins when the guy's already old and way way past his prime.

That's not a good reason? Besides, it's pathetic how you're already downgrading his fight with Hopkins 3 months before the fight. Tell me o wise one, right now Calzaghe is able to fight at Super Middle and LHW. He already beat the top SMW. Who should he fight now other than the best current LHW that is already P4P top 4?

Agreed. Calzaghe is a promoters favorite. He will always listen to his promoter and the promoter will keep cashing in having him fight who he wants him to fight in front of a large audience milking easy money. Of course there was more money in America, there was more glory in america as well.

This is where you come if you wanna make it big. Even Manny pacquiao realized that

Actually the newbee was right. You heard straight out of Calzaghe's mouth. He himself has said that Hopkins is not what he used to be, that he is an old fart and that he is just looking for one last payday. So why is Calzaghe fighting him again???? Exactly the MONEY that he never received in his long career fighting scrubs at his home.

The thing is, as old as Hopkins is, he still has what it takes to make this fight ugly and nullify Calzaghe's advantages like the workrate and beat him by a close controversial decison that will be debated for months afterwards.

he could've fought that current lhw when the guy was a bit younger. besides calzaghe has already been measured. in his prime he lost but had a gift against reid. like i said he finally had the balls to fight bernard when the guy's already old.

All fighters have flaws in their careers and records but thats todays boxing.
Calzaghe's skills to not matchup with his record. It's a milked record. He has been undefeated for way longer then he really should have been. A undefeated record is deceiving to some folks.

I've seen this guy fight and yes he suprised me and alot of other how he handled Jeff Lacy. But then we saw the real Jeff Lacy. He got exposed, we saw his last 2 fights. The guy is a scrub. All muscle and no skills and reflexes.

I give Calzaghe full credit for one fight only and that is Kessler. And still Kessler had to agree to fight him in his backyard. Funny how everybody has to accept Joe's terms in order to fight him. It's time to come to America and get a good Loss on his record. Reality Check Boyz.

not only that, he didn't move up in weight until now. he's content beating smaller, no name guys. joe should've challenged rjj when rjj was looking for an opponent before moving into the heavyweight division and beat ruiz.

Some 6 years ago Joe and B-Hop were scheduled to fight, until B-Hop backed out at the last minute. It wasn't a "gift" it was a close fight, could have gone either way. You didn't answer my question, if you think Calzaghe should not fight the P4P #4 fighter in the world, (in Las Vegas after people kept bitching about him fighting in Wales, while Hopkins himself has never fought in the US), who should he fight instead? Just because you fight in the US doesn't make you superior to other boxers in the world.
