Didn't Winky throw alot of volume punches in his fight prior to the Hopkins fight? Did it help him against Hopkins? Hopkins took away his weapons and made Winky look as sloppy as he has ever been.

It will be much easier to do that to Joe since Joe is already a bit sloppy himself.

I get it........you're either in your 40's or a family member of yours is in their 40's and unable to whipe their own ass and you think no 40 year old can be different.

Aye but Winky walks around 30lbs lighter than Calzaghe.
And Bore hard made wee willy winky put onweight to fight him at 170lbs.
Your argument is null & void.

I mean the biggest chap he's faced in the last 15 years was Tarver who was spent.
Apart from that he has been picking on LMW's , MW's and WW's.
Don't forget Borenard is a natural light heavy eh?
And he normally has the size advantage.
This time it will be different however and if he cannot get past Jermain Taylor he has no chance against Calzaghe.

Styles make fights. Winky did alot better against Taylor then did Hopkins....yet Hopkins defeated Winky. Don't be so sure. You picked Hatton to beat Floyd.....remember.

Listen Dip****. Jeff Lacy, an american came to Calzaghe's hometurf because he wasn't a bigtime fighter yet. He excepted that and traveled to Whales.

Joe was not ahead of RJJ and Hopkins back in those days. It was his responsibility to chase those guys and fight them in America if he had to.......BUT he did not do it. He chose the safe route and build up his resume with title defenses........Case closed.

Yeah Winky had to move up to to 170, which is in between supper-middle and light-heavy. Not the first great fighter to have to move up in weight to fight another great figher. It's been done before.

              What's your point again?

Let's put it this way people.

I think it's safe to say that Bernard Hopkins is the best fighter that Joe calzaghe has ever seen, including Mikkel Kessler no matter how many of you stans wanna hype Mikkel up.

                  1. Joe is about to face the best fighter he has ever fought

                  2. Is joe really the best fighter that Hopkins has seen in his career?

Taylor & Winky fought Borenard at 160.
Winky has operated best at 154.

Hopkins could have been the best fighter Joe fought ...5 years ago.

And give me one name who would have beat Joe of Hopkin's resume?
Tito? Tito would get slapped back into a 15th century, DLH? Don't make me laugh. Who else, Taylor? Don't think so either. Taylor would fade aand Blow would comfortably ud him.

The only fighter that you could use in this case is Jones, but clearly Hops lost to him.

See, I am not even using Taylor, because the fights were close.
