I do think Roy can still impress but not to the same stature that he used to and against subpar competition he's still a good fighter just not a great one. He has enought left in the tank for another big win but if he doesn't thats it a guy's gotta know when he's got nothing left.
    I think you are wrong.
Calzaghe is on record saying he wants nothing to do with Roy because it would be a meaningless win and he would get no credit.
PLUS Roy wouldn't agree to the poor man's purse either.
    Roy is SHOT.
He has nothing left in the tank at all.
If he had he would have dealt with the 2 nobodies in Hanshaw & Prince whatever his name was.
Roy will be 39 this year as well.
    Nobody beats Father time.
No fighters come back from Brutal losses at Roy's age.
The tools that made him great are gone.
    Speed & Reflexes.
They aint coming back and his ego can't write cheques his chin can't cash.

He might not have anything left in the tanks but ofcourse calzaghe wouldn't fight him he is looking for some great wins against todays big fighters and to go out with a **** he knows he is nearing the end and a fight with roy would do next to nothing for him but a fight with Dawson would look great on his resume cause it's still early days for Dawson and would look good in his legacy (if he get that far) with a win over roy early in his career because roy is coming off 2 wins regardless of who they are. He might be 100% shot but his name is enough to get him a title shot.

This is EXACTLY why he isn't retired. The doubt in him is incredible to say the least. He will prove you wrong, just bank on that.

No, he will prove every single one of us doubters right and further damage his legacy. He isn't a Toney or a Hopkins, he relied mostly on his athletic skills and they are all gone.
RJJ has boxing skills but it's hard to be fundamental now in your late 30's when you were as unorthodox as he was in his prime.

When I look at his fights now, I see a man trying to box like Ali did late in his career. And I mean LATE in his career, like Ali boxed against Young&Spinks. Not like he did against Foreman & Frazier.

Jones will get through Tito easily but he should hang it up after that.

The people that roy beat went on to become champs and even got title shots afterwards. They weren't all "bums" I rate Roy higher than both Joe and hopkins both fighter wise and career wise.

Calzaghe UD over RJJ if it ever comes through, prob will when Calzaghe Ko's BHOP.
