Oh and half the list was bullocks as the limeys say.
They discredited punching power based on lack of stamina so Foreman and tyson didn't rank as high because they couldn't keep their power into the late rounds yet rated ppl who don't punch as hard higher because they hold their power better.
I would rate them as if you have one punch who is going to do the most damage and that's that.

and Byrd was'nt the legit champ either, when Lewis retired the linear title was Vacant, and it has been vacant since then. Byrd won the vacant title vs Holyfield and before that won a title which was originally was a fight between one of the worst titlist of all time Herbie Hide vs Tony Tucker for the Vacant WBO Title which Hide won, Klitschko beat Hide and Byrd beat Klitschko.
nobody has became unified champ since Lennox so i dont get your point. and Wlad will be the champ when he beats Ibragomiv. and how is that proving that Joe Louis would beat Wlad? Wlad has fought fighters that hit harder than Louis?

The New Ring Magazine "100 Greatest Punchers" has Joe still as #1.

I don't think Shavers was as good a PUNCHER as Louis was simply because he had hard time finishing guys when he had them hurt, unlike Louis.

But obviously if we go simply by PUNCHING POWER Louis wouldn't be ranked even in the top 3. Foreman or Shavers would be ranked as number one.

Yeah I guess it should be split down the middle somehow.
No one had been a legit champ since Tunney though. lol

Joe Louis was the best finisher but he was not the best puncher.

Brewster, Peter and Sanders are the hardest punchers Wlad has faced. They lack technique though.
