And the fact that they held titles is a testament to the division's shallowness.

See? I dissed two black AND American fighters.

He held a paper title. That's politics, not boxing. He couldn't land a punch on the seventh best Russian fighter.

The heavyweight division is just fine if your Ukrainian, Russian, or any part of Europe more specifically Eastern Europe.

No one is complaining except for the Americans. To be honest I havent been this excited for heavyweights ever. Maybe because there wasnt a Ukrainian champion, but now that there are two, Wlad right now more specifically, then Im more excited then ever for the heavyweights.

Im excited to see Wlad fight and unify all the titles.

Briggs did win the 'linear' title from Foreman who won the world HW title in his 40's.

Heavyweight boxing is a world sport now. It's beautiful. It's almost like footie. And when an elite footie player comes up, we don't talk about his race or country. No one cares that Kaka ans Messi are white, Ronnie is black. But boxing is behind.

You got me there. But that's the 90's. There are ebbs and flows. There were times in the 90's that were deep, with Holy, Bowe, Lewis, and sometimes Tyson in and out of the mix. Now is getting to be a good time again. Not great but good.

He won it in an absolutely terrible fight against a guy who was supposed to have been a top 5 fighter.

You also think that I'm saying this because of Nationality? You know me better than that.

The heavyweight division is lacking Americans and Brits though. Let's see if Haye and Chambers can become contenders.
