Some bum ass from Mexico, you see it over and over. I mean atleast Margarito after gettin decisioned over against Williams took on a fighter from THIS country with a WINNING record. It wasn't some guy that fought a bunch of no names from another country where they don't pay attention to who is fighting who. (But of course, for OBVIOUS reasons, ya'll mad at Margarito for smashin through Johnson in one round lol.)

Now that Marg has faught anyone and everyone they put infront of him and has yet to be KOe'd or even manhandled (he's even calling out, and his mouth is wattering for a chance at the bull himself, Miguel Cotto. lol Talk about "willing." Somthin you're favorite fighters couldn't attribute themselves with, even if they had all the "Money" in the world. So shut your mouhts lol, and respect man, strength, and courage, when you see it.)

You wanna get mad when he fights a Johnson after a loss, when more then 80% of fighters try to mount a comeback against some sacrifical lamb? lol Giiiit the **** outta here, and soon. Deal with it, Margarito puts his work in against everyone. He's not fast, or flashy, he does what he can with what he has...lol He'll take your favorite fighters punch, laugh in his head probably at how you're not hurting him, and muscle it out (lol Somthin no corny ass internet poster could ever do.).
    ---

Now this is for thread starters who make these same exact Margarito threads over and over..

Aside from the obvious delusional posters (AHEM...viva mexico, lol doubt he's even Mexican.) No one really stated or made a significant post on how or why Margarito would beat Floyd, not a single post that would warrant this kind of thread and arguement over and over. lol Just admit it, Ya'll just mad at Tony for havin his name out there, when he doesn't need those flashy skills to smash his way to the top.

You phoney ass internet personalities just need to kick back, fess up, and admit....Margarito ATLEAST, should have got a chance at the number 1 spot. And after reading this, if your first instinct is to blow even more smoke up Hatton's ass on how he was worthy, think about Hatton's health first. lol You gas him up, and into the wrong fight one more time, he might very well get smashed and embarrassed again. Take note to the mans health and feelings...lol you animals.

Margarito's been put in there with the best, and he's either knocked em out, or gave em a fight. In that Williams fight, Paul..the winner of the fight, ironically, was the only fighter that looked like he wanted to lay down on the canvas during the whole fight. He landed countless amounts of weak attempts at power punches yeah, lol but he was the only fighter that looked like tipping over. I won't even begin to mention the look on Paul's face and what he said in the post fight interview.

Now is Margarito tough? lol Obviously...

Is he strong? lol Do you really have to ask?

Did he deserve a shot at Mayweather?.....This is a rhetorical question.

Now styles make fights, you take this big tough guy, pit him against the likes of Cotto/Mayweather and you got some real fights, weather you want to admit it or not lol, thats facts.. I mean sit back and use your heads, if Oscar can man handle Floyd, and if Hatton can keep Floyd off balance. What do you REALLY think a fight with Floyd will look like if he were to step in the ring with Tony? Floyd winning? Highly possible, would Floyd dominate with strength? lol Highly unlikely. Whether Tony would beat Mayweather is irrelevant, it always has been. The only point of all this, was who "actually" deserved a shot.

    Ducking and Cherry picking

    is bad for the sport.
Great post. I don't know the whole ins and outs behind the Margarito/Mayweather situation. Should have Margarito gotten a shot back then? Perhaps.
I've said it before, Margarito would be tough as nails for anybody to crack at welter. 5'11, good reach, great chin. But the most feared man on the planet? Naw man, not even close.
Oh, and maybe a fight against Berto for Margarito? I think it would be a good one.

The only guy on here overrating Margarito is Viva, who is obviously an alternate account shared by people on this site. There's no way that's a real person being serious.

He's definitely underrated on this forum. A guy that held a world title for over 5 years and 7 successful title defences, finally loses a fairly close decision to one of the top 3 in the division and now people are calling him a bum. And the ridicule that he got for taking a tuneup fight after that loss (which he annihilated) was a little severe.

Margarito dropped himself out of the welterweight elite when he lost to Williams. He needs to hit up the other welters at his same status level like,.. Zab Judah and Carlos Baldomir.

Come to think of it.. Margarito should try and earn himself a fight with Shane Mosley.

After the Judah fight yes without a doubt. If you ask a casual fan who baldy is they will say "the guy that beat Judah" now if you ask a casual fan who Margarito is they will probably say " aint that a drink?"

don't be surprised though if his legacy is overshadowed by someone else because they took the fights he didn't though.
Yeah i'm sure Marg the great's name will stick out when it's said and done.
