I would claim that even if Calzaghe and Kessler were American there would be this apathy I'm alleging. It's reasonable, if we consider this a multi-factoral issue based on the reality that rarely, rarely do we have championship bouts with two White competitors and we know all the others have had a higher rating than this fight, and undoubtedly some of them featured two non-American combatants.
