So do I mate, I wanted Hatton to beat Mayweather but when he never I wasn't bitter about it.
It sickened me when I heard fools in the audience boo Mayweather after he had won, the two lads I watched it with were ex boxers and they both said "FFS those daft bastards know **** all about boxing, Floyd's proved himself they should all be giving him a cheer"

Now people know why calzaghe isnt PPV, good fighter no doubt, but not a draw in america if the original thread post is to be believed.

If it hadn't been a unification bout, it would have been a Boxing After Dark. That's what at least one previous Calzaghe fight (and I believe Kessler vs. Andrade) had been. Then the 2.8 wouldn't have been such a low rating.

It comes with Calzaghe & Kessler both being foreign and only having had a handful of fights televised in the US.

Plus, they're super middleweights. The casual fan can't name anyone who fights at 168. They'd be lucky to come up with a few pound-4-pound names, but Calzaghe hasn't fought a big-name opponent yet to American audiences (unless Showtime subscribers followed Jeff Lacy).

This isn't that big of a story and if Calzaghe beats Hopkins, his next defense will be much higher rated if not a pay-per-view
