its great how everyone believes that hes seriously going to take that 2 year break ... just like he was retired before and after de la hoya . the man knows how to make money and thats what hes going to do with this fight .

hell give out little tid bits , maybe let cotto get another big name ala de la hoya on under his belt , hype the fight until he feels it can get a big enough draw ... than have cotto make a deal like the hatton one .

all in all , hell wait till it makes financial sense and than hell make the fight.

In a recent interview with Franklin McNeil of the New Jersey Star-Ledger, Mayweather gave his thoughts on Cotto trying to lure him into a fight by revealing his strategy to win. Mayweather, as one can expect, does not agree with Cotto's fight plan. More important than that, he doesn't feel the fight makes any financial sense at the moment. [details]

You know what makes me happy?

The fact that Floyd keeps saying **** about Cotto.

This makes me pretty damn sure that the fight happens in the next year or so... for sure. Floyd is trying to build it up it looks like, otherwise there is no reason for him to be saying all this ****.

The more I watch Floyd and rewatch the Hatton fight. This guy is really stingy when it comes to getting hit. And its a compliment. His defensive positioning makes it hard to connect to the body as well.

Watch the Hatton fight his body is contorted in away that makes it hard to land effective body blows. The reason why Hatton couldn't get off the left hook to the body was becuase of Floyd's positioning.

This is exactly why I would favor Floyd over Cotto. He would most certainly be able to nullify Cotto's most potent attack, which is the body.
