That's true, I was surprised when Cotto said that. He cant fight Mayweather like he fought Judah, he needs to fight him like Mosely with a little more emphasis on body punching and cutting off the ring.

I disagree. Pressure, pressure, pressure from a guy that is able to manhandle Mayweather is not the same as pressure from weaker fighters like Hatton.

If Cotto is to beat Mayweather, it won't be with just one thing. He'll have to adjust, make Mayweather open up at the proper distance, use pressure, go downstairs, he needs to do a lot of different things.

Well if he doesn't try to do it, he would be making a mistake. As it is, there are two guys that can manhandle Floyd Mayweather at 147: Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito.

Cotto's instinct is not pressure, I don't believe he really thinks that way. Cotto is much smarter than putting pressure on his opponents, what he does is dictate the action & pace. Cotto is good at initiating the action in the ring and dictating it and that just happens to put alot of pressure on his opponents. He uses his jab at will if he wants. Cotto knows how to lure you in his combinations he throws.

I agree, you can't just plow over Mayweather. Everyone tries to do that because it's easy to underestimate Floyd's physical strength. If you're going to beat Mayweather, you will need to do a variety of things and have the ability to adjust as soon as Mayweather adjusts.
