Who ever said Floyd was ducking Cotto needs to be slapped. I knew the **** talking was going to start soon. This is building suspense and hype for the fight. IMO, I say this fight will be made next year (08)

Damn, Money May actually does have things outside of boxing brewing up...eh, I was really hoping it was a bluff to see which bank he could crack and how much Gold is found in the vault late 2008.

The plans he has are indeed time consuming and will need his absolute attention or his business will go down the tubes fast.

Two years away is a bad idea and especially taking your mind off boxing for that long.

Oscar and his singing, now Floyd and his Producing.

Cotto fight, that's all I wanted then he could retire. Yes, Yes, I know people would bug him about Williams and Cintron to unify, but I can care less since if we think that way, nobody will leave him alone afterwards, wanting him to move up and unify at 154, or worse, the dumb idea of him going to 160, like SRR did, except people have to remember he was a 130 pound fighter...although, SRR was a featherweight I hear as an amateur, that is something.

Anyway, I'm still hoping we can see this fight be made. I do think Cotto will have to get O$car in the ring in order to boo$t his name/product up. That way, Floyd doesn't have to see his check cut in half, which most likely will not work to get him in the ring.

Do you actually think that Mayweather doesn't have Cotto in his crosshairs?
I don't think this is hot air coming out of Mayweathers mouth. It's a start of a buildup, another 24/7 with idiots yapping about Mayweather being soft, and Cotto getting took into the deep end. De Ja Vu...

It's going to happen folks. Cotto has got a pelt with his win over Moseley.
Mayweather and Hatton got 1.5 million PPV buys.
The money will be there. Mayweather ducking Cotto?
          Nope.
Cotto better start ducking lead rights and his own fair share of body shots when this fight goes down.
Probably entertaining for about 5 rounds or so...
And then Mayweather just starts to break Cotto down.
Just calling it how I see it.
I would still favor Floyd, but he bothers me the way he fights now. I've said it many times, lack of the jab, substituting it for the lead left-hook, lack of movement, substituting that for hanging on the ropes or just sitting there absorbing punishment, lack of combinations until the mid-later rounds...where’s the old Floyd?

Maybe I’m wrong, I don’t know, but I liked his previous style down a few years ago and down at lightweight. Focus on the jab, movement, decent punch-output, combinations followed with everything (instead of pot-shots), etc.

It’s somewhat similar to seeing Clay/Ali (pre-suspension from boxing) to Ali post expansion…or Roy later in his career.

Someboy spit on their ideas to give me an idea why Floyd is better now than previous.

Floyd is taking the 2008 off to watch the WW division clear up and find the most money making fight which also presents the lowest risk. Ppl are reading through his bull ****. He's a great fighter, but he needs to retire or take the toughest fights out there, put up or shut up.
Cotto is multidimensional, he showed it on the Mosley fight, Floyd saw this also, Floyd might call it a not big enough fight but we know what it really means. As long as the meadia keeps him as p4p, why take tougher available challenges out there?

if he is really retired then he should be taken off the p4p list.

                    I see what your saying.
But Mayweather called out Roy Jones Jr. downfall a few yours back.
Paraphrasing now, but what he said was basically, What happens to RJJ when his athletiscim fails him? Does he have the fundamentals?

Mayweather has the knowledge, technical skill, and hunger to fight another big fight. And win. Easily over Cotto. Mayweather knows it. You know it. If you don't know it, step in line. It will be another lesson in the sweet science.

This kinda funny, where Oscar is a real business man, Floyd is like a little kid that wants to play Buisiness man.
