Paraphrasing now, but what he said was basically, What happens to RJJ when his athletiscim fails him? Does he have the fundamentals?

Mayweather has the knowledge, technical skill, and hunger to fight another big fight. And win. Easily over Cotto. Mayweather knows it. You know it. If you don't know it, step in line. It will be another lesson in the sweet science.
Technically, yes, he is a master boxer which is why he is able to adapt. So are you seeing the same thing, that "physically" he may have declined...related to age/30, increased weight, and injuries?

It's just a little **** talking, thats all.

I'm telling you, when DLH fought JCC, all I heard from Mexican fans was, "DLH, he isn't a true Mexican, JCC is going to..." this and that.

But when DLH fought Mayweather, the Mexican folks were ALL about waving their flags, Norte and Sureno's were holding hands, and carne asada was the password.

I'm not fooled by these muthaphuckas.

I seen this **** with my own eyes. DLH is a HOF, and what his accomplishments are business wise is great.

            But inside the ring, 115-113.
All that other bull**** aside, isn't that what matters?

No. If it were, he'd of been irrelevant after the Hopkins loss. At that point, he'd of been done. Clearly, people still care enough about the guy.

Matter of fact, he fights Hatton/Cotto/Trinidad next year.. I guarantee that ****er still sells.

He's been given the shaft in a lot of fights, got the decision here and there where he didn't deserve it (I don't count the Sturm fight, because I don't like his entire compaign at middleweight.) Nonetheless, to act as if he's only been successful outside of the ring, in terms of major ways, is crazy.

                Uhh, so whats your point?
You don't count DLH's campaign as a middleweight, because he got caught with a Hopkins hook to the body?
Or his stint at 154 when he outweighed Mayweather by 20 pounds entering the fight?
DLH is a HOF fighter. But it is what is my friend. He stepped up, and got beat. Plain and simple.

I don't count it because he didn't/doesn't belong. I wouldn't count it if Mayweather moved up to far.

Has nothing to do with his success/failure rate. If Wright beat Hopkins, he still woudln't belong. I'd count it as a win, but wouldn't say.. Well he belongs now.

I'm not claiming a faded De La Hoya didn't clearly lose to Mayweather. Mayweather won. However, you seem to be inclined to side with ANYTHING Mayweather.

Of course I am. It's because of all the bull**** that Mayweather haters spew on this board.

I'm not here to defend Mayweather for his lifestyle outside of the ring. Or his 24/7 interviews.

But I do see a great fighter when I see one. And he is a great one.

The haters want to gossip about ****. Instead of looking with their own two eyes in whats front of them.

Anyways, Jones vs Hopkins should be interesting...
