I mean Hatton is 1/4th of what Cotto is, and thats being generous. It should have been Cotto in there on saturday and as confused and as off balance as Mayweather looked just from a little Hatton pressure early, imagine twice as much pressure from a fighter thats twice as strong that can last 12 entire rounds. Somthin tells me Mayweather wouldn't be able to hold up.

come on man, Cotto is far more flat footed and conventional than hatton is, hatton closes the distance far quicker than cotto, cotto stalks, hatton rushes in, thats what bothered floyd. When mosley moved around and got on his toes and picked his shots, cotto looked confused, he adapted, but to me that was enough to tell me that floyd would likely potshot that guy for 6 or 7 rounds and throw right hand leads that cotto is so susceptable to.

hatton and cotto dont fight alike at all.

              Cotto Overated What About Pbf

PBF may go around claiming to be the "GREATEST OF ALL-TIME" and the GREATEST fighter ever to lace on the gloves, then the DETROIT LIONS are the best team ever to step on the field. PBF was blessed with all the ability in the worl (minus punching power). But he took his foot off the pedal far to early in his career, in terms of who he fought and how he fought them. At jlw he was spectacular, cleaning out the division in dominate fashion. At lw he was not dominate, but he did fight the best (Jose Luis Castillo). Since moving up to 140, 147, 154lbs however he's ben to selective about who he fights and too disinterested in knocking them out. At 30 PBF still has time to take on huge challenges, overcome them sensationally and become know as the best fighter of this era. But based purely on what he's done so far sorry, Floyed-that "greatest of all-time" crap is more comical than compelling. (THE KO OF RICKY DOES NOT COUNT " 5'6 140 LBS AND WHEN YOU HAVE A 6' REACH ON YOUR GUY COME ON) Fight the true hard core ww then lay claim as the best.

Yo being flat footed when punching is only a negative when you cant throw being flat footed lol. Cotto can bomb being flat footed. Floyd cant even land his best without having his feet set, Floyds hardest shots come when his feet are slammed in the ground and he leans into his pot shots. And lets be honest, those exact shots we saw last saturday didn't look that impressive against Oscar or Baldomir. Oscar picked em off for the majority of the fight and Baldomir walked through em the whole fight, thats even more of an example of how over hyped Hatton was as an opponent. Those same punches practically decapitated Hatton, Mayweather hasn't looked that strong since Diego Corrales I think. And you'd be a fool if you think that **** would happen to Cotto lol. Mosley and Judah both stronger then Floyd, both unable get to the job done because of what Cotto was firing back.

Are you insane? Hatton and Cotto fight the exact same in the sense they're at their best when they successfully pressure fighters. It's just Cotto is an Elite at it, Hatton is like an amateur...

Cotto closes distance with accurate punches that are fast and feel like cinderblocks, and with perfect foot work. Hatton just dives in with weak shots hoping his momentum will grant him a slight edge in power and effort, some real amateur tactics. Thats probably why he gets tired so fast, he has to use his whole body non stop.

But with Cotto able to stay ontop of a guy and beat your internal organs, there's no way Floyd would be able to stand still, especially if he lets that shoulder D absorb shots, not now in Cotto's career. No one can afford to sit still infront of Cotto too long, unless youre a natural Middleweight or some **** lol. Floyd would have to move, but that would hardly matter cause Cotto can cut the ring off with quick shots all night long. Zab tried to move but got crushed. Mayweather would try to move, get hit, then try to move even more drastically, wich would probably end up in him losing a decision.

Cotto's tailer made to crush Floyd, lol and it has to be done. No way Floyd can get away with this phoney epic career defining victory over "Ricky Hatton."

as much as i disagree that come fight night hatton is bigger than floyd

                    LOL

i COMPLETELY agree with you... cotto really is nothing special... hes a really good fighter.... but stepping up to the next level... is an entire different thing... ricky hatton is a beast, until he fought floyd... cotto isnt fast enough to get to floyd.. i dont care if the guy can hit like a truck.. whats it matter if you cant lland the punch...

we just watched the best pressure fighter in the sport get picked apart on the INSIDE by floyd.... cotto wouldnt have a chance... he really wouldnt

and anyone who denies he got picked apart... go watch the fight again... and dont take your eyes off what is ACTUALLY hitting floyd.... barely ANYTHING.. lots of activity... little to NO effectiveness
