      if oscar thinks he could knock cotto out he should step up instead of trying to make fights with smaller easier opponents in hatton and paquiao

        The Original post is hilarious. PBF is the WW Champ, Cotto is the #1 contender. How is calling Cotto the # 1 contender over-rating Cotto? What WW has done more than Cotto to date? You say Paul Williams would KO Cotto but your over-rating PW's and being a total hypocrite.

        Cotto has not just beaten over the hill fighters and fringe contenders. Cotto has beaten undefeated, tough young hungry fighters that are still out there winning belts after having only 1 loss to Cotto. The jrWW division is being run by guys Cotto defeated. Malignagi, Torres.

        Every one of Cotto's last fights the past 2 years has been a legit threat (exception of his mandatory with Urkal). Paulie, Quintana, Zab, Mosley, Torres.

        Please tell me what has PW's done that makes him worthy of your rating but makes Cotto over-rated? Is it his great win over Mitchell?

        PBF doesn't have to fight Cotto, but Cotto definitely is the most deserving of all WW's which makes him not over-rated as the #1 contender.

          FLOYED BEAT oSCAR FOR A BELT THAT HE WON BY BEATING MAYORGA (SO what) Oscar has never been the same since the lost to tito. Cotto whould just stalk pbf down because pb does not have enough power in those soft hands to keep him off of him. every fighter has that 1 guy who he could never beat and pbf has COTTO, and thats why he will never fight him.

              All that we've been getting directly proceeding Mayweather's brutal KO victory, is references to Cotto this and how Floyd is ducking him or avoiding him, etc, etc.. Listen. I am being so honest when I say that Miguel Cotto is absolutely nothing without PBF. You are building him into another Margarito based on Floyd's name; it is an endless cycle. The acclaim basically comes from two wins through out his 31 fight and 6 year career.

              Mosley and Zab Judah

              * It is so undeniably hilarious that Floyd almost gets no credit for beating Zab, but Cotto does, even with the year lay-off and previous 2 losses. It bewilders the mind.

              * Mosley is 36 (4 years away from 40) and hasn't had a belt since 2003. That is four years out of your prime. Even Oscar is only 34 and had a belt when Mayweather fought him. Mosley had been reduced to fighting contenders and washed up former champions. He hadn't been a belt holder at Welter Weight since 2001. Cotto was barely starting his career the last time he was Welter weight champ, 6 full calendar years ago.

              Therefore, Cotto's status among some of his deranged fans is unjustified. Moving up from 140 before winning a lineal title is already a bad sign and he still hasn't won one, yet Mayweather did in his 18th fight. If Mayweather leaves then it is up to him to fight for lineal supremacy, but depending on a semi-retired Floyd Mayweather for it is just being a crybaby. Work like he did and tell your fans to stop bitching. Maybe someday you'll be as great as Floyd Mayweather jr...

              Paul Williams would kill Cotto btw, imho..

              i hope you arent serious? floyd could easily win by dancing around and throwing a punch at a time. the only question is can floyd ko him, because that would be ****ing impresive. cotto is insanely overated, but cotto lovers are really just floyd haters that build him up so that they believe he can beat floyd and make their dreams come true.

                I like Cotto. I dont think he is overated at all. He wins fights and beats down his opponents..Do I think he could be PBF..no..but can he give PBF the fight of his life yes. I think it would go like 9-10 rds..and he will force PBF to ****..but since PBF stamina is great and Cotto fades a little..he will either drop Cotto and win a UD or win by TKO in 9-10 rds..this is not taking anything away from Cotto..he will still be regarded as a great fighter but PBF is a special breed of fighter.

                  DLH=Old...
                  Hatton=typical red faced victim for the black man. No real threat. (Sorry but true 9 out of 10x)
                  Baldomir=Hahahahahahaha!!!!!!

                    Yo.. 100%. Floyd is terrified. Look into his eyes, he is weaker than he portrays himself out to be. He will only be **** when he knows his opponents have really NO chance. He can't even lie to himself about Cotto...

                      i think cottos progress it great.. his handlers havd done a great job and pickin his opponents and each time upping the opposition.. its great.. hes great for boxing. i think he poses a threat to floyd somewhat. but i think floyd will come out victorious..

                      i used to think cotto was garbage and overated, but its not a the case anymore.. hes done much to change my mind
