    Miguel Cotto = Overrated

Not because he's beaten nothing but faded champs and inexperienced fringe contenders barely out of the Olympics, and not because most of his wins were at a weight class that he was too big for, but because people consider him to be this much of a threat to Floyd Mayweather even after knowing these facts.

All that we've been getting directly proceeding Mayweather's brutal KO victory, is references to Cotto this and how Floyd is ducking him or avoiding him, etc, etc.. Listen. I am being so honest when I say that Miguel Cotto is absolutely nothing without PBF. You are building him into another Margarito based on Floyd's name; it is an endless cycle. The acclaim basically comes from two wins through out his 31 fight and 7 year (nearly) career.

    Mosley and Zab Judah

    * It is so undeniably hilarious that Floyd almost gets no credit for beating Zab, but Cotto does, even with the year lay-off and previous 2 losses. It bewilders the mind.

    * Mosley is 36 (4 years away from 40) and hasn't had a belt since 2003. That is four years out of your prime. Even Oscar is only 34 and had a belt when Mayweather fought him. Mosley had been reduced to fighting contenders and washed up former champions. He hadn't been a belt holder at Welter Weight since 2001. Cotto was barely starting his career the last time he was Welter weight champ, 6 full calendar years ago.

Therefore, Cotto's status among some of his deranged fans is unjustified. Moving up from 140 before winning a lineal title is already a bad sign and he still hasn't won one, yet Mayweather did in his 18th fight. If Mayweather leaves then it is up to him to fight for lineal supremacy, but depending on a semi-retired Floyd Mayweather for it is just being a crybaby. Work like he did and tell your fans to stop bitching. Maybe someday you'll be as great as Floyd Mayweather jr...

Paul Williams would kill Cotto btw, imho..

Judah was getting through loads on him and hurt him but he stopped throwing the punches. Cotto isn't a God-fighter but a fantastic test for any fighter.

I think Cotto knocking out the common opponents he has with Floyd has a lot to do with it. Plus, he can cut off the ring, punch hard, pressure fighters, box, and for the most part can take a punch, who wouldn't want to see him in there with Floyd?
