I like Cotto's timing... Sugar is just saying that cuz he wants the shot.... Cotto speed is deceptive.... I definitely think he has a better chance than Ricky Hatton... Thats the fight I wanna see next in this division - Cotto/Mayweather.... I predicted that Hatton was getting knocked out before the 11th... I rooted for Hatton but always thought that he was selectively picked because Floyd thought he was going to be easy... Gained a new respect for Floyd though man that dude is skilled beyond belief by far the lb for lb #1. Floyd should be in more exciting fights like these, it can only help his legacy... This is a lengthy post and alot of it is interesting so my reply feels pretty inadequate but I disagree that Hatton is more "reckless" than Cotto. The nickname Reckless Ricky is one that you have bestowed upon him and is actually pretty naive in itself.

Cotto may or may not be faster and more powerful than Hatton but it doesn't really matter because he isn't faster than Mayweather and I can't see him beating Mayweather unless it's by stoppage.

I feel you and it's true what you said about me naming Ricky reckless, I just feel as if he could have controlled his spurts a little better, he would have done so much better if he would have just thrown many different things at once to Floyd, gave him something to think about and THEN catch him big, Cotto can do that. see Cotto's strength against Floyd is his accuracy and his fast hands, he has MANY other strengths, he has enough different approaches in his fight game to throw Floyd off, Floyd will have to hit and RUN not Box because if he gives even the slightest room for Cotto to strike he will be counter punched EVERY TIME he throws a punch, he will never see a point in the fight where he could hit and not get hit, Cotto has controlled aggression meaning he is all up in your face but is always guarding himself, he punches with 1 hand and guards with the other hand uses his shoulder, dude is phenomenal and it's those skills that make him a superior Champion over Ricky, it's his ability to be versatile and not fight only 1 way, his ability to neutralize speed and his ability o take a punch, Cotto is the complete package and it will show if these 2 ever fight, I respect your opinion 100% but I don't see Floyd beating Cotto.. 100

I do think the thread topic is a woeful interpretation or "paraphrasing" of Mosley as it captures neither what was said or its spirit.

One thing people also dont comment on often is that Cotto and PBF are 2 of the coldest, calculating and professional fighters (in the ring). Cotto was headedbutted by Urkal all night in Urkals impression of the Juggernaught and was cut. Cotto kept his cool and never changed his demeanor. Same was true after the headbutt's from Judah that caused his the cuts above his eye and on his lip. The dude doesn't rattle.

PBF is the same way, he was low blowed and hit behind the head by Judah and a virtual riot broke out in the ring, he never lost his cool and kept fighting as if nothing happened. Say what you will of PBF but that guy temperment in the ring is ice cold.
