I like Cotto and I would never write him off against Mayweather but he would need to execute a punch perfect gameplan in order to beat him.

I had it that way too, people were obviously giving Mosley the benefit of the doubt in some of those rounds and they weren't as close as they seemed, I forget which rounds exactly I gave to Mosley but he didn't get no more than 3 or 4 rounds because 1 of the were questionably even to me, Mosley is a great champion and a nice person but he brought what he brought to the table, vintage Shane Mosley in terms of quick flurries and still lost, it had nothing to do with age, the crowd or Cotto because Mosley came prepared as ever, he STILL has A LOT left in the tank, maybe he's just one of those B-Hop type of dudes but Shane was still A+ in that fight and still lost clearly, it baffles me when I hear people scoring it a draw, our eyes are capturing 2 different fights even though it's the same fight..

see you narrowing it down too soon without factoring who Miguel Cotto is, Cotto has MORE speed and SAME power as Hatton don't get it twisted, look at the KO ratio fam out of 31 fights 25 were KO's and this is having BETTER opposition than Ricky, Hatton's most devastating one punch KO came against Jose Luis Castillo where he landed a CLEAN blow on a part of the body where even Floyd himself would have fallen had he been hit that way, you can't sit here and pretend that just because Hatton caught that KO and has never caught another one in that way that he's suddenly a bigger puncher than Cotto, he isn't.. Hatton is more clumsy thats why he's so reckless, he earned the moniker Reckless Ricky after this fight because it showed, Cotto has the same amount of power it's just it's controlled and not just thrown at you to the point where he can't even stop himself from running into the turnbuckle, Hatton is SO aggressive that he's TOO aggressive and it makes him seem like he is stronger and faster but in truth he's not he just recklessly uses his assets, once faced against someone he couldn't maul he was TKO'ed, there was no surprise there, once Floyd beat him at his own game and frustrated him he couldn't respond, there was no Plan B, Cotto as I have said before has a plan for each letter of the alphabet..

Cotto can Box you, brawl you and do a mix of both, he switches from righty to lefty in the middle of a combination, he has a GREAT Jab and he is overall very station, he doesn't allow himself to be caught like Ricky did with shots that nearly fractured his neck, shots that had he just stopped charging and applying reckless pressure he could have avoided and landed a few of his own.. you think Cotto can't fight the way Ricky fights? doesn't have the speed, power and pressure that Ricky does? nah homie he DOES it's just he ain't so reckless to himself come in face first to shots, he ain't so ****** to hold his hands out as if to push with no head movement and get countered silly all night, for Cotto to fight like Ricky would be a downgrade of a better Boxer/Puncher, Cotto is overall a better Boxer/Fighter than Ricky Hatton, Cotto doesn't rely on 1 thing to win and against Floyd it will show..

Miguel Cotto will track down and beat Mayweather the same way he did Shane, he will counter once Floyd tries that pop shot **** and when Floyd finds himself in the corner he wont easily escape, Cotto knows how to cut the ring off, you guys need to open your eyes on Miguel Cotto, dude is a problem and one that I don't think Floyd can solve, his body punching and just overall ability to wear you down even with shots to your shoulder is amazing, Ricky can't do that he's too busy grabbing you up and getting penalized, Cotto ain't that reckless homie, his jab on top of his versatility, his quick hands on top of his strong mental game, his pace on top of his accuracy will prove too much for Floyd, it took Floyd 8 rounds to unlock the lock of the most reckless fighter aside from Mayorga and even Ricardo has shown a tendency to Box at times, Ricky has too but for the most part Ricky is known for his clinching, it took Floyd to overcome someone o reckless with uncontrolled aggression, what you think is going to happen when he faces someone who IS controlled and actually has a plan A-Z? someone who is so skilled he can out box you as well as out fight you all in 1 round? it's just my opinion here but I SERIOUSLY think Miguel Cotto can pull a decision on Floyd Mayweather Jr.. 100

This is the exact thing I said after the Cotto fight ended, and people told me that Mosley didn't box, and that when he did, Cotto was killing him.

I do agree that Cotto has problems with slicksters, (IE Judah in the beginning rounds, Mosley in the middle rounds, etc.)

              We shall see.

Mayweather would easily out box Cotto for 12 rounds if that's what he chose to do and we all know by now that he neutralizes the jab very effectively (and Oscar's jab is the best) and is barely touched by the body shot, plus pressure doesn't work.

The tall, rangy fighter is what I see posing the most problems, ala Paul Williams, as mentioned numerous times.

Of course we would watch it...we spend our day on a damn boxing forum site. I'm talking about the casual fans. They won't do 1million buys if just boxing fans watch it. That fight ain't happening. But he will fight Cotto.

Shane brings about as much money to the fight as you do. Not only that but it isn't smart for Mayweather to fight Shane because....

                      1. It's the tougher fight
                      2. Less money on PPV buys
                      3. He wouldn't get his deserved credit because people would say that Mosley was 36 and coming off a loss to Cotto.

No way is a fight with Shane Mosley beneficial to Mayweather. Trust me, I'm like Ellerbee when it comes to this stuff. Genius.
