at the post fight did mosley say that mayweather used to idolise him in the olympics ?
Mosley: "Cotto Would Be Easy For Mayweather"
Collapse

The actual words were more along:Boxingscene writers mis-paraphrase all of the time, but the general meaning remains at least very similar if not the same.
"Cotto would be easy for Mayweather"
"If Mayweather boxed Cotto, he'd have made it a lot easier (than it was for me)"
^Assuming that Floyd boxes, it carries the same meaning..
If Mayweather does that [box] then Mayweather MIGHT have a... it may look A LITTLE BIT EASIER for Mayweather [than himself] if he boxes Cotto.
At no point does he express that Cotto IS EASY for Mayweather..... He says Mayweather would have an easier time than He, Mosley, did, which would be the correct paraphrasing of that section of the clip.Comment

The implication is unavoidable. What Mosley is definitely saying is that Floyd would beat Cotto if he were to box, and by doing so would make the fight easier than it was for him. We all know that fight was close as hell, and possibly a draw. The actual words were more along:

2+2=4. What he meant was clear... Addison shouldn't be criticized for such an inane mistake in paraphrasing, it is bitchy to say the least.Comment

OK, now this is proof that you're a LYING little ***** trying to generically flip basic reality. Nobody knows who I am?? Don't you think you have that backwards? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Did you look up the definition of "paraphrasing," ******? HaHA!!
Learn about it, *****.
And THINK the next time you open your ****ing mouth.. Ya dumb douche..
For your benefit; I'll let you know that Shane Mosley just fought Miguel Cotto in November, and Floyd Mayweather fights in the style of a "Boxer."

Paraphrasing: "The act or process of restating or rewording."
The sad part is, this ****** had the definition ^^ there posted at the beginning of the thread and still couldn't quite comprehend the actual meaning.Comment

Oh yes, literally speaking, it wasn't even a "mistake"..my bad. Paraphrasing is literally to restate, most of the time in your own words or in a simpler form. Bad paraphrasing happens when the meaning is totally distorted, but in this case it wasn't.HaHA.. This is funny. Don't worry about this ******, my friend.
