Mayweather was losing until Judah lost his composure, and this would not happen with Ray. Judah is very fast with a slapping one punch..Ray was fast with both hands and combinations. So Mayweather while he could attempt to time judah's counter, would have major issues dealing with Rays left hook, jab (which he had problems with in dlh) right hand..(if Ray straightened it out as he did most times, but sometimes he threw a looping right hand).

Another thing you mention..Hearns was not as fast as Ray, he was fast but his reach is what enabled his jab to land because Ray came to fight him after the 3rd round. He was right there in front of hearns in harms way. So he was on the end of Hearns punch with is a no no...Now carry that over to Mayweather, if he tried to win a fight with ray, he would have to be in harms way, and rays reach and speed and great jab would dominate him and allow for his combinations and power to take over...(Dlh for the 1st 7 rouds was using his jab effectivly and ray used this very style vs Benitez who was a agrea great defensive fighter and counterpuncher.)

Cuevas, Benitez, Virgil Hill, as well as many champs and contenders that you will write off because you simply don't know who they are. Who has Floyd beaten that is as good as Duran or Benitez? Answer? Nobody. Also, bottom line, Hearns had the style to destroy Floyd. Have you ever even seen any of these other fighters fight? I doubt it. Esteban Dejesus, Ken Buchanan, Carlos Palomino, Pipino Cuevas, Davey Moore, Iran Barkley, and once again, a bunch of contenders you wouldn't know. The fighters named above, when given how big they were and at what stage Duran beat them, are certainly more impressive than Floyd's wins for the most part.

You write like a two year old. They lost because in Duran's case he was past his prime, and in Hearns case he didn't lose much, except to other greats like hagler or when he was past his prime at higher weights.

He fought him shortly after he fought Duran. And he beat him, so what does it matter? Floyd is saying Cotto is not a big name and is trying to duck a fight with him by saying so, yet he is fighting Hatton, who is nowhere near the challenge Cotto would be.

Let Mayweather beat Hatton, let the next fight get set up, and see how Williams does against Cintron, and then let Floyd fight one of the two, likely Cotto.
