I realize how defensive YOU sound. Research is good, but it doesn't replace actually watching the fights, especially at the time they occurred. For example, I've seen kids on this site refer to Hector Lopez as a nobody. The reality is that Hector Lopez is in the hall of fame. I've seen kids on this site refer to Miguel Angel Gonzales as a nobody. The reality is that Gonzales is one of the greatest fighters to ever come out of Mexico. This goes on and on and it stems simply because those kids never had the opportunity to see those fighters in action.

Depends on your definition of ATG, and depends on how high you rate him. I rate him probably top 100, not top 80 even.

Explain how Tszyu rates that high. He is a top 10 JWW, not the best, and his resume surely doesn't prove it. If you think otherwise, try to prove it, I don't think you can, and you seem to be the same as your friend, no good points, just insults because you have nothing constructive to say.

I compared them in that neither fighter was very impressive at first glance, nothing else. Napoles fought a bit more like a smaller Hagler if we're going into that, just more of a prime or younger Hagler than the bruiser he became past his prime. A smoother version.

Then you simply are not aware of Tszyu's impact on the sport at 140. Look at his record and you will find the names of Hector Lopez and Miguel Angel Gonzales along with so many former and future champions that it will make your head spin. And he beat them all. Tszyu was feared at 140, it's just that simple. It is a FACT that at the time Floyd made his trek thru 140, Tszyu had been the dominant Jr. WW for a decade. For you to disagree with this premise shows a startling lack of knowledge, or a startling amount of Floydilian bias. Either way, it's ignorant.
