Cotto is a ****ing robot with no personality. I actually DO like him as a fighter, but as a person, I don't even have an opinion on him because he's just creepy.

For me, a Hatton win for Floyd is bigger than a Cotto win, seeing as how he never won a legitimate championship there at 140 and is now fighting the linear champ. Ultimately, he has absolutely nothing to prove after that, after already beating the best at 130, 135, and 147 (at that time.. before Cotto moved up, Williams came on the scene, and Mosley moved back down).. Cotto has a lot to prove, therefore needs someone like Mayweather more than someone like Mayweather needs him.

what has he done to warrant a number 2 spot in the division? judah lost to f***ing baldomir, and shane was only a good win, not a great win, past his prime. wow, he is undefeated!!!! gimme a break. you cant make an objective arguement for cotto giving him a decent fight,(floyd either puts on a boxing clinic if he respects cotto's power, or doesnt respect his power and attacks him, ending the fight with the accumulation of solid punches) he wont draw until (if he ever does) he beats quality boxers in their primes. no money in it for floyd(relatively speaking), nothing for his legacy, and cotto will get so frusterated that he is liable to hit floyd low or do something else cheap to attempt to even the playing field. cotto, beat williams or cintron in an exiting fashion and then maybe it will be a thought, until then you dont have the merits to fight the best in the world. and people just sound like idiots when they say floyd is obligated to fight cotto or he should lose his pound for pound title. HE DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH QUALITY WINS TO EVEN BE CLOSE TO THIS POINT. if you want to see them fight great! but floyd doesnt need to fight a guy that has a lame resume at this point in time, granted it could improve.....

Cotto doesn't draw, as evidenced by his ppv numbers for judah and mosley. He has no charisma and is shy around his own fans. He has slightly above average speed, and slightly above average power, and an average chin at best. in short he is a slightly above average fighter. People dont pay 50$ to see his caliber of fighter.
He would have lost to Judah had he not intentionally hit him low twice, imo he should have been dq'ed because of the blatant intent of these punches. for people saying PBF has to fight him, cmon, are you serious. what has cotto done to warrant a fight against the #1 pfp fighter in the world? beat judah by cheating, which he admitted to, getting a draw against a 36 year old fighter which could have gone either way. and he beat a bunch of scrubs, big deal, beat a legit opponent impressively and we will talk. fyi, this wont happen, cotto is a top 8 guy in the division, that is it. once he starts fighting the best in the division he will not win 1/2 of his fights.

Cotto has more of a following than Floyd and is accepted more. Floyd doesn't draw big numbers unless he has another big name on the card, he has never been able to do it on his own. Before the Oscar fight he barely drew 9,000 when he fought baldomir. This is a bull**** excuse form Floyd and he will use his rivalry with Arum as an excuse. Part of being P4P is fighting the best competition there and if Floyd beqats Hatton, Cotto will be the best competition for him at 147. I agree with Emanuel Stewart when he says that if Floyd avoids Cotto, than you cant call him P4P #1, by avoiding the best competition at 147 being Cotto. Floyd says that Cotto doesn't draw, yet he will be wiling to fight Cintron or Williams, which together they wouldn't draw as much as Cotto. None of this matters because this fight will never happen, and Floyd and his fans will try to defend and justify this until the end, when there is no justification.

I agree on the whole, with one minor issue. I think Mayweather has the discipline and the genetics to continue fighting well into his late 30's. Hopkins did it and did it impressively, he didn't slide until he turned 40. I think if he chose to do so Floyd could do the same exact thing, as he and Bernard are both dedicated gym ****.
