So b hop was being ****** that time (ducking jones).

Now when it comes to calzaghe

-B Hop is the bigger name
-B hop's title could be at stake (depending on weight)
-B-hop is a proven PPV seller
      -Calzaghe is free to air

Quite simply, b hop gets the lions share, otherwise calzaghe can go to sheffield and fight clinton woods for peanuts cos that the alternative.
Calzaghe will make real money even if he takes 40%, and its a fight he can win to.
Yep- Joe doesn't really have many other viable options.

And about Hopkins-- he wasn't being ******. Not fighting Jones was probably a smart move.

Then not only would you be ******, but you'd be throwing away the biggest payday of your life, mainly because you couldn't understand that calzaghe aint selling PPV's on his own in the states, he needs a bigger name along side him, thus why Hopkins gets the slice.

          Simple really.

He's going to let Calzaghe look at his options:

Dawson: under contract with Showtime and a relative unknown, even though it's the more legitimate fight.

Pavlik: they'll steer the boy away from Calzaghe, and anyway he has to fight Taylor then he'll take an easy fight against Duddy

Taylor: HBO will be happy with it, but this offers Calzaghe nothing

Tarver: less money than a Hopkins fight, and no glory in beating that clown anyway

Calzaghe will come around and make concessions.

Bull****! After Calzaghe's win over Kessler his stock is up. Bernard cannot even make the big draw anymore unless he has a quality opponent. ****, Bernard's last few fights have been PPV borefests. He's on his way out. You're wrong.

Of course, Hopkins knew he couldnt win that fight, he nearly had a hernia when jones said he'd do the fight for 60/40,

Even last year jones offered him a rematch and to take 40%, hopkins still made excuses.
