    Hopkins running from Calzaghe again

In a recent interview fully posted on Boxing Scene, Bernard Hopkins has laid down the gauntlet for a possible fight with Joe Calzaghe:

    "...
Hopkins said that he's only willing to do the fight with Calzaghe if it's on America soil, and if the money is a 60-40 split in his favor. He refuses to do a 50-50 split."
    -----------------------

NOW, this is reminisent of how Hopkins has handled past inquiries by Calzaghe's camp for a fight, by making deal breaking demands.

This should make it clear that Hopkins isn't exactly jumping up and down to get in the ring with Calzaghe, even at this point in his career. IMO he's lucky Calzaghe even gave him another chance for one last big payday before shuffling off to the retirement home.

I think it would be funny as hell, if Calzaghe accepted this insulting offer and beat Hopkins' ass.

Hopkins needs to man up and fight... 50/50 is fair enough

Hopkins backed out on the fight about 4 years ago i think it was don't be surprised if this doesn't happen i think personally Calzaghe vs Woods might be happening because Calzaghe talked about Woods as possible opponent on the tv.

If hopkins was a man he would've taken the 50/50 and would even go to wales to fight if he's that confident he can beat him, why not in his home town?

No he's not. They'll settle it. GBP are going to make this happen, and of course Hopkins is going to take the slightly larger cut.

Calzaghe vs woods would be a good fight too but the hopkins fight would get a lot more attention

Hopkins doesn't have even have a belt, all he has is his name and his extremely overrated Ring rankings. He's 42, has lost 2 of 4, fights once a year, couldn't even fill an arena against a bloated Winky Wright, and stunk up the place for the few people that showed up for that one. He should be lucky to get 40/60. But yeah, it would be funny if Calzaghe accepted these rediculous demands and comes over and kicks the **** out of him anyway.

You serious, calzaghe aint worth 50/50 against hopkins, hopkins is proven PPV and calzaghe is free to air, bernard would give joe by far his biggest payday, and is the bigger name in boxing. 60/40 b-hop is a fair split.

I dont wanna hear from anyone about 50,000 calzaghe fans buying tickets this weekend, thats small time cash compared to even a mediorce 200,000 pay per view sales in my estimation.
