The 60/40 demand is how he weaseled out of a fight with Roy... So I'm not surprised.

It's not a matter of manhood. You could as well say that he'd fight for free if he were a man. But Hop is a businessman too now, he's going to promote the fight, it's going to be in or near his hometown, and he's going to make a lot of money from it.

I dont care to be honest. Most fans would agree that the demands from Hopkins are unfair. Most fans would also say that Hopkins is too old for Joe Calzaghe.

If Calzaghe doesnt accept his demands, Hopkins will be the one that looks bad because of it and Calzaghe will probably fight someone like Chad Dawson who many believe to be a more credible opponent anyway.

If Calzaghe does take the fight, Hopkins unreasonable demands would make it more of a credible victory for Calzaghe cos he's manned up, taken a fight despite getting shafted from it and still got the win, just cos he wanted the big fights.

Hopkins only makes himself look bad by this type of behaviour.

However, it must be mentioned that this stuff is just the start of negotiations anyway.

For real. Both are legends, 50/50 is right.

Calzaghe will not be going down the Dawson route. For one-- Dawson would have a damn good chance at beating him, whereas Hopkins has a punchers chance. It's high risk, low reward. Another reason is that it wouldn't generate NEARLY the amount of buzz and revenue that a fight with Hopkins would.

If anybody has the options here, it's Bernard. We don't hear Joe making offers- he just wants the fight.

That was a completly different story

                    -Roy was the draw
                    -Roy beat him already

So b hop was being ****** that time (ducking jones).

Now when it comes to calzaghe

-B Hop is the bigger name
-B hop's title could be at stake (depending on weight)
-B-hop is a proven PPV seller
                    -Calzaghe is free to air

Quite simply, b hop gets the lions share, otherwise calzaghe can go to sheffield and fight clinton woods for peanuts cos that the alternative.

Calzaghe will make real money even if he takes 40%, and its a fight he can win too.
