Nah, WBC is generally accepted as the best belt, its the belt the top champions tend to go for, thats my opinion, i know its the opinion of mayweather who calls it the 'official' belt in boxing, and why he always goes for the wbc title in his weight class.

But yes, in general, the fighter makes the title too.

How many times can i tell you this?

I dont bother to use spell check, i couldn't give a flying toss about spelling on a BOXING forum.

But go on kid, kid yourself into thinking you are actually clever,

because in real life there are still born babies with more intelligence than you.

I like Mayweather aswel, was blown away with the Gatti fight but now so much now with hindsight. The thing is picking the best fighter is not easy because different weight divisions vary so much with regards speed, stamina and power so you either pick with the domination of his own particular division or you just pick with your heart,on both accounts Calzaghe is top for me.Look at other sports Micheal Jordan wasn't regarded as the best cos he scored most points he was a showman aswel and took risks to entertain people loved him for it.If you look at Maradona he completely dominated his own division or era and entertained, you have to do both to be regarded as great.
One of the most intelligent posts I think I have ever read. Its good to see some people are putting REAL logic to it, not just simply repeating what everyone says just because everyone else is saying it. Calzaghe simply HAS to be the #1, surely you cant be the best when nobody wants to watch your fights (Mayweather) because you are too boring? Calzaghe also has the ability to change styles drastically MID-FIGHT. A true great adjusts to the problems he faces and will ALWAYS find a way to win. Joe is not afraid to go to war either, and when he does it may not be pretty but it sure is entertaining. Add to that his phenomenal boxing ability, super human stamina and his granite chin and you have got yourself the best P4P fighter in the World.

the logic of Micheal Jordan and Maradona is different sport.

how many boxing bout do you have compared to to a basketball or football match?

They are exciting fighters people even forgot there names like the G-Man who was a rising star and was a hungeriest fighter ever and look at him now. Yes it comes with the job but still most of you guys forgot his fights against Mugabi or Julian Jackson or Nigel Benn.

Boxing is a sport that fought less, less chance to prove something and damages the body. Jordan and Maradona has more than 10 matchs per year to prove themselves unlike boxing is a sport you got only time to prove. If you lose even though you are a good fighter maybe it your last time to be showen on TV.

Does mayweather have the ability to change styles mid-fight?

Calzaghe HAS to be the number one?

You cant be the best if people say your boring?

How can calzaghe be better than mayweather when

                      1) Mayweather fights better fighters
                      2) Has won titles in 5 weight classes
                      3) Mayweather is clearly more skilled
                      4) Calzaghe has fought about 3 worldclass guys his entire career (reid you can have if you like), to be honest kessler was never all that imo.

****in el, i never knew beating kessler makes you the best fighter on earth, where was kessler on the p4p list?...........

                      Exactly.

Time for some real talk, come december 6th, this will be mayweather's last 3 fights

                      Baldomir, De la hoya, Hatton,

                      This will be calzaghe's

                      Bika, Manfredo,Kessler

Hardly the same league is it?
