workrate, will, cotto has mentally got to every fighters head he has faced. At LW Mosley was just as good of a body puncher but Cotto is the best in the game at it right now.
Does anyone have a good argument for Cotto?

No Satori, that's your reason for downing him on every single post. Because you were raised with a false sense of superiority rooted solely in terms of geographic origins, and not actual IQ, character etc. In the end, another bridge and tunnel variety white trash, Growing up Gotti, misinformed little angry white man in world in which the colorful man reigns supreme. Handle it. Cotto would be your boss in prison. Unfortunately for you, your Daddy lied to ou and set you up to lose. You see, being a guido is not enough, anymore; You need sophistication, education etc. Owned.
But back to how Cotto will win. Hmm.. this fight like the last 5 or so: Somehow, Cotto gets the job done. I think his slowly but surely chop em down approach will bend Mosley in the middle rounds and culminate in a stunning "upset" yet again. We will do this until Floyd has no choice but to fight Cotto and it plays itself out yet again. A disfigured opponent...dazed and confused wondering what the **** just happened.Comment

If he can take away Mosley's legs with a accumulation of body punches, then he just might catch up to Shanes jaw in the later rounds. That, or he could break some ribs maybe.Comment

Im going with mosley, but i think we all have to accept that sooner or later mosleys reflexes will malfunction and he is a reflex based fighter which means he could get caught with some big shots.I haven't seen one. Even the guys picking him to win seem to only point out that Shane is 36 and has to slow down sometime. I've seen a ton of great points in Mosley's favor - "he's faster, stronger, a better boxer, better chin, etc..." Is it just that there is no good argument for Cotto? Does Shane really have to get old overnight to lose here? I want to hear why the people picking Cotto think he'll win.
By reflex based fighter i mean a guy who defence centres around dodging shots rather then blocking, roy jones and joe calzaghe are examples i think illustrate what i mean.
When the relexes go, imo these type of fighters end up getting exposed in terms to taking big shots they never used to because the reflexes have gone and their manual blocking skills arent up to the job.
Roy Jones is a classic example, he was never good on the ropes (imo)and got away with it cos of his reflexes, one day his reflexes left him, and it was on or the near the rope where i believe tarver knocked him out.
With mosley it could be the same, because i believe if his reflexes leave him during this fight, his manual blocking wont be enough to stop cotto landing good shots on him.
Anyways, too many assumptions on this fight are being made on Mosley's reflexes being good enough to evade cotto during this fight.
Another point is that mosley may have weakness against guys who jab him coming in, cotto showed against judah he has a class jab that could offset mosleys rythm, if cotto can land the body shots off the jab, he has a great chance to win.Comment

I agree that Roy fought with more athleticism and reflexes than true boxing skills but Tarver's KO was kind of fluke. If you look at the replay Tarver's eyes was closed. Also when looking at the replay Roy saw that punch was coming because he had his glove up to block the punch. What happened was the glove wasn't protecting the spot where the punch landed and Roy went out.Im going with mosley, but i think we all have to accept that sooner or later mosleys reflexes will malfunction and he is a reflex based fighter which means he could get caught with some big shots.

i thought u weren't a hater what the **** would u called ur post????Now that you mention it, I really haven't heard any good argument for Cotto. All I ever hear is "Mosley is too old", "Cotto is a young lion", "Cotto is a God", "I have a man crush on Cotto", "Cotto is on the same level as Trinidad", "Cotto will easily KO Mosley", "I gave Cotto head last night". If I got a dime for every time I heard one of those quotes I would be a multi ****in millionaire.Comment

-mosley, similar to cotto, has a tough time incorporating his offense and defense. for god's sake, shot, slow vargas hit him at will with right hands.
-mosley wings too many wide shots.
-cotto has a better workrate and better combos than mosley at this stageComment
