Lemme tell you how much of a fan that BOTH my girl and I are.

My gf would attend boxing matches even before she met me.
If there was a fight, everyone knew who's house would host teh fight party.
I have attended many Vegas fight weekends. Including a broke-me-off ticket for ODLH-Tito.
My dog and her cat are both named for fighters.
I was a consultant who spent years on the road, and I'd always find a bar to watch the fights. Sometimes very out-of-the-way.

I was an amateur wrestler who always liked boxing, but got into the sport hardcore after college.

You want to define HOW somebody should be a fan. Good luck on that. I know a bunch of people (and some on here) who call themselves "fans", yet don't even have Showtime. They troll the boards for free streams. That's bum ****.

Two things. Money today has actually made a Trinidad - DLH bout a "superfight". Robinson - Gavilan was not even considered a "superfight" and it featured FAR superior fighters.

This is where the money (greed) has affected the sport today. Oscar and Felix actually can command a $50 pricetag. What actually was worse though (honestly)? The decision (I had it a draw so obviously I don't think so) or the fact that the fight absolutely ****** ASS?

Same thing with Lewis Holyfield I (Clear decision for Lennox IMO). HORRIBLE fight.

Throw in a bad decision and folks are going to ***** for forever about it.

But now I see you bitching about a great fight.

You cats are bugging out; if that was mostly slapping, why doesn't Kessler walk through the slaps more readily, or why was his right eye swelling from slaps, or even worse, how did a right slap to the body hurt him? lol Joe C is an elite fighter, but I do agree that many cats are objective enough to give him credit, but hate on more brash fighters like Mayweather, when they "slap" their way to victory. lol The art of slap-boxing is a beautiful thing fellas, enjoy. lol On the real, I thought it was a very good fight, Kessler didn't show many dimensions (as expected), but fought his heart out, caught Joe C with some hellacious shouts, and seemingly has a bright future at 168 (still). For Joe, I guess B-Hops is next, but damn, that will be a boring fight. I'd prefer to see him fight the winner of Taylor-Pavlik II...either one, I predict a victory for him. Fellas, stop hatin!
