Hatton is not totally motivated by money.
This is a kid who has eat **** and breathed boxing all his life.
He has been an overachiever really given his physical attributes.
Most of his Fans have been die hard and this is the first fight where all of them cannot get a ticket.
Will he want to reward those fans with a farewll in the Uk?
I think he just might and sell out Wembley stadium.
I disagree with this. I think Hatton is actually a physically GIFTED fighter.
He has been faster and stronger than almost everybody that he fought at 140. And he is blessed with great stamina. Those are physical attributes.

So Hatton hasn't overachieved at all.

If Floyd does win I would be much more appreciative of him if he actually gve Ricky a pat on the back at the end of the fight.
      But I doubt he will.

But if PBF has more work to do after a win over Hatton, how could hatton not have more work to do after a victory over Floyd?
You make a fair point - but it doesn't reverse equally in my mind.

Hatton beating Mayweather is the end all be all for the Brits, some White folks "just because," and the basic logistics invloved. Hatton is the smaller dog moving up to face the P4P king. If Ricky wins he's on Mount Olympus.

Mayweather beating Hatton isn't quite the same for a ton of reasons.

Hatton has made himself through Grit and determination.

He has never fought anyone his own size.

            Are you insane, Moof?

After their fights, Floyd said ?Gatti is a great fighter, Zab made me respect his fight game, Baldomir is a great fighter, I beat a legend tonight (Oscar)", etc.

Trust me: Floyd's self-serving ass will say great things about Hatton.

In fact, I haven't heard him slag an opponent AFTER a fight.

              I hope so mate.
Whoever wins or loses should always appreciate theri opponent who in turn defines them.
Although Eric Crumble should never have been allowed to continue fighting.

Sure he has. EVERYONE he fought has been his own size. Guys are different heights. That is humanity. Boxing is aligned by weight. Ricky Hatton has fought one person who is naturally bigger. Louise Collazo.

Being an inch or two shorter doesn't mean you are the smaller man.

Extreme example, but what If Mike Tyson fought Paul Williams. Who's the bigger man? And why?

I never looked down their trousers
I understand what you are saying but surely you get me as well...
Ricky has the reach of a Thalidomide in comparison to some of his opponents.

Yeah, he is squatter, I understand.

But he developed a style that fits his body type. He isn't the first and won't be the last (Frazier, Tyson, etc). Every body type has BOTH advantages and disadvantages. Taller fighters are at a natural disavantage for interior work.

I'm constantly amazed by the people who think the only way you can win a fight is by plodding forward. Muhammad Ali wasn't a straight-ahead, attacking fighter, was he?
Didn`t Ali lose against Frazier the first time around?
