IF Hatton loses, he'll blow up to 250 lbs, retire to a stool in some dirty Manchester bar, and comeback against Witter in four years when he's blown all his millions.

This thread is saying I am tired of reading the result that Floyd has won before the actual fight has happened.
However I think you may be right with the weight gain...
If Hatton does win he may well expand to 250lbs and his biggest fight of the future could well be heart disease.
On another note I don't think Ricky is ****** enough to waste his money.
I'm pretty sure a lot of it has gone to securing a very comfortable future for him and his family.

Therefore that's all I expect to see from Mayweather. Of late he has pot shot-ted his way to victories and he should be better than that.

As I said, I admire him but expect more otherwise in twenty years other people will be having the same debate.
I dunno, man. I gave SRL the controversial decision vs Hagler. Because I like flashy boxers. But Ray didn't exachange with hagler. In fact, MMH was calling him a ***** DURING the fight. Like "fight me, you *****", and ray was backpedaling saying no. They even showed that during Legendary Nights.

What ray did was shoeshine at times stealing rounds. Ray SPARINGLY flurried, and backed Hagler once with a flurry, I think. But overall, SRL fought a very FMJ-ish fight.

One difference is that Ray didn't spend a chunk of his career fighting above weight. If PBF was at 135/140 where he belongs, do you think he would be pot-shotting? Because, in reality, he did that TWICE: baldomir and Oscar. Although people now talk like that has been the hallmark of his career.

When SRL got the result against Hagler it broke my heart.
Hagler was the Original fighter that stirred my interest in Boxing.
I was only 6-7 years old then.
Mike Tyson in 85-89 cemented my love for fighting.

I mean what else would he need to achieve?
His spot in the HOF would be gurenteed after beating the greatest fighter that ever lived too.
If Hatton wins I'm not totally sure.

I know he's mentioned possibly hanging em up.. I might have to walk away after pulling it off if it was me.. Taking on another challenge wouldn't be nescessary to prove to the establishment and his fans his achievement.

I think he may retire if he wins.
Hatton is not totally motivated by money.
This is a kid who has eat **** and breathed boxing all his life.
He has been an overachiever really given his physical attributes.
Most of his Fans have been die hard and this is the first fight where all of them cannot get a ticket.
Will he want to reward those fans with a farewll in the Uk?
I think he just might and sell out Wembley stadium.

              Addy,

Then that implies a great acomplishment...and by extension then Floyd was....whatever.

But if PBF has more work to do after a win over Hatton, how could hatton not have more work to do after a victory over Floyd?

Hatton is the man at 140.
By beating the man at 147 what else can he do?

There are certain fighters who's abilities 'hooked' me.

                  Sugar ray Leonard
                  Hector Camacho
                  Pernell Whitaker
                  Felix Trinidad
                  Mike Tyson
                  Floyd Mayweather
                  Joel Casamayor
Jury out on Joan Guzman. But for obvious reasons, I'M PRAYING!!

My pets are named after a couple of these fighters. Including one very calculated risk.

In truth, isn't Hatton really a WW toiling a division below?
                    He is 154+.

If PBF would need to beat the best guys at 147, then Hatton would need to do the same.
