I refer you to post#6.
Perhaps my sense of humour goes over your head?
No. I know that was sarcasm. I've seen enough of your posts.
I am asking you to clarify your position.
Is Floyd Mayweather a GREAT fighter, the best of his era.... or is he an OVERRATED fighter who really doesn't have a great resume and doesn't deserve the #1 ranking?

Check your *******.
I've read through about a dozen threads today with you acting like the Lords Protector for Floyd Mayweather and the Grand Executioner for Ricky Hatton.
I mean for ****s sake get a life mate. OK, we get the point, whats with the fixation for attacking Ricky Hatton?
And before you comment, yes I am British and from Manchester but I am not a huge fan of Hatton or Mayweather for that matter, I respect them both but that's about it. You on the other hand seem to have issues?

I will say this much.
I believe Floyd is a Very good fighter blessed with so much talent.
He beat who there was at 130 & 135 which you can't knock.
You cannot choose your opposition.
BUT the thing for me is since his rise through 140 147 & 154 he has skipped quite a few fighters that would ..if he had fought & beat ....make him Great.
Hatton is the first Fighter at the top of his game he has faced since his weight hopping which is undeniable.
Although there is the nagging feeling that this should have been made at 140 2 years ago (I already know Hatton wanted to wait so calm down).
If Floyd can beat Hatton , and at least 2 or 3 other prime contenders then I will hold my hands up.
For me though the Jury is still out.
1) Claim TODAY that Floyd is overrated and should not be p4p #1. You say that Floyd is not a great fighter. Not one of the greats of this era or an ATG.
2) Then claim on December 9th that Hatton beat a great fighter and that win guarantees his HoF legacy. Claim that hatton now deserves P4P #1 because he beat FMJ.
You can't have it BOTH ways. So, either Floyd is a great fighter and P4p #1, and Ricky's win will be awesome. Or Floyd is overrated and a media creation and Ricky's win will be good, but nothing particularly special.
you're too serious.. and you're talking in circles and keep repeating yourself ovah and ovah and ovah...
I will say this much.

Some great points there.
I would like to see Mayweather take it to Hatton and push him back, we all know he can box and fight well on the back foot and coming off the ropes but I would like to see him attack Hatton with the intention of imposing his will.
If he can win a fight against a top pressure fighter like Hatton with that sort of approach then I feel the critics will hold there hands up and admit they were wrong.
We all know that Mayweather is the better boxer, that is not in question, what is in question is whether Mayweather has the heart for a fight. Hatton has, he's proven it, I hope Mayweather doesn't nick the rounds with counters and pot shots because to be a great Champion you must impose your will upon your challenger.

Likely,
Do you think it's the first time this has been said? Do you feel that you are breaking new ground here?
Do you feel that your post just just provided me with the path to enlightenment?... or is it more likely that you are wasting your time?
Ricky Hatton is a mediocre fighter who will be badly exposed on Dec 8th. Now run along. ....mate.

Ok, cool. The jury would still be out.
What if Hatton wins? What would his legacy be as of Jan '08?
