I'm a know-nothing? IN what way? Frankie Randall beat Chavez at the TAIL END of his prime, and Chavez avenged the loss, regardless. See, I do know something.
On a side note, 3 out of your 5 fights that you have picked, we both predict the same fighters. So, if I'm a know-nothing.......Comment

Wiley,
You seem to have Kostya in much higher esteem than MOST other people.
Most people don't
- have him as a super-elite JWW
- have him as an ATG - top 80
- have him beating PBF in a mythical matchup (nsb)
- believe that PBF avoided him (nsb)
Kostya Tszyu moved up the p4p rankings on the basis of some wins that I think , retrospectively, experts wouldn't rate as highly.Comment

Prime Chavez?! No way, man...Chavez was probebly best at lightweight, which was years before the Randall fight. and Chavez had tons and tons of fights, he did not have an easy career. not to mention he did nothing in training BUT spar. he used to spar 10 rounds a day I believe, 6 days a week. if that doesnt wear you down over your career, nothing will. when you go through that kind of punishment throughout a career, you can age overnight. just look at Morales...hes not that old in years, but he aged so fast after the 3rd Barrera fight and 1st Pacquiao fight...
not to mention that the Randall that Chavez fought was a pretty outstanding fighter. He went downhill badly in his career, but shortly after the Chavez fight he went on to beat a GREAT fighter in Coggi winning 2-1 in a trilogy, and from what Ive heard, the Randall-Coggi fight was a full out brawl.
To beat a prime Chavez, you need to be extremely active. Kostya was great with timing his punches, but Chavez could take shots unbelievably. Youre not going to change a fight with a few big punches against Chavez. Kostya also did not use a lot of movement, and if you just stand there, sooner or later Chavez will wear you down.
Not a high volume puncer+not incredibly fast+not a ton of ring movement vs Chavez=a Chavez win, imo.Comment

Oh hell yes. For my money he is the 2nd best LW of all time (I dont rate Gans, Leonard all of them because of limited footage). I'm basing my opinion on actually having seen him fight and such.
And he's a top 10 welt. Maybe...I'd have to think about it but he has ATG skills and would be on top in any era.Comment
