No, C, those are not his top two fights. You missed Tszyu's career, didn't you? It's ok if you did. You just sound like your basing your opinions on stats and what you've read after the fact. Am I correct?
Admittedly, the Judah fight was one of his biggest fights, because of the garlands received. Miguel Angel Gonzales was also a big fight. 2001 Sharmba Mitchell was hyped to the core because of the garlands at stake and Sharmba was very respected then.
But, Hatton was not one of his two biggest fights. First of all, Tszyu was almost 36 years old, but incredibly at the same time was expected to walk thru Hatton. The fight is big in retrospect because of the consequences and that it was Tszyu's retirement fight.
There were many great fights had in Tszyu's career. Check the record. Ben Tackie was a big fight. Rafael Ruelas was a big fight. If you'll check the record, Tszyu ended three or four undefeated streaks and those were all big fights.
I've checked the record, and he's only ended, two.. that were important. And if you think some bum with an undefeated record is important..... Riiiight. Ben Tackie was not a big fight. Ask the average hardcore boxing fan if they recall the day that they gave a **** about Ben Tackie fighting Kostya.. I'll wait for you to find someone. Same goes for Rafael Ruelas.. Not big fights, not even close.Comment

A respectable post. Although we obviously disagree, you're entitled to your opinion. When did I run down Kostya Tszyu? I've actually made it an issue to say he IS Hall of Fame bound, in my mind and that I did consider him a great fighter. He was a great 140 pounder, regardless of his placement on that list of great 140 pounders, he ranks high. He just doesn't beat Mayweather, to me.Comment

Your like a country hick lawyer thats trys to baffle your way with bull**** .What? Is that your rule? "AMs don't count"? I didn't know that was boxing canon. Of course "it counts". It would be better if it had been a pro fight, but everything "counts". The fact is that Tszyu blew Forrest out of the ring. I don't care if it was AMs or pros. It happened. And, it does mean something.Comment

1) OK. You think Oscar is over the hill. My opinion is that there's a difference between "not as good as he was" and "over the hill". Cotto must be fighting an OTH Shane. Was Tszyu OTH?
2) Which of those three fighters are you replacing with Kostya Tszyu?Comment

Interestingly biased statement: "If you think some bum with an undefeated record was a big fight..." lol Do you want to talk bums? I'll tell you about five in a row regarding Mayweather!I've checked the record, and he's only ended, two.. that were important. Not big fights, not even close.
Tackie, Ruelas were big fights....for Tszyu fans. Which you are not.Comment
