Kostya was asked about a fight with Floyd once. He just smiled and said "too small".

If Floyd was ever serious about fighting him he would have tried to get in there before Hatton or Mitchell instead of going after journeymen.
So... when Floyd is asked about the fight, he says I want to fight him. When Kostya Tszyu is asked about the fight, he says, "Too small."

This definately confirms my belief that this match was not made because of Tszyu and not Mayweather.

My friend, the Hatton-Tszyu fight occurred one month before the Floyd-Gatti fight. Floyd-Gatti was signed well before the Hatton-Tszyu fight occurred.

Believe what you want. Everyone knows how Floyd acts when he's chasing a fight and he never came close to doing that with Tszyu.

If KT can outbox a relative behemoth in Forrest and spark Judah in 2 why would he have any fear of fighting Floyd?

No. You are absolutely goddammed wrong.

Why do you feel the need to nitpick this point? Kostya says, "he's too small." What was Floyd's natural response? "Alright, let's get in the ring and you just try to prove I'm too small." Was that his actual response? Answer: A RESOUNDING SILENCE.

You have already seen I'm not the only Tszyu watcher who understands what Mayweather pulled regarding Tszyu. He had no intention of fighting Kostya Tszyu as long as he was still formidable. Now that he's 79 years old; hell yeah! Now that Hatton beat him and he's retired; "Oh we planned to get to Tszyu, but he lost to Hatton." Blah Blah Blah.

So because his priority was to become a PPV star first, and then fight Tszyu second... he ducked Tszyu, just because Tszyu couldn't beat Hatton?

Kostya Tszyu wanted none. After getting knocked out by the great Cool Vince Phillips, Tszyu tucked tail and ran.

Just take a look at Zoo's resume. Who are the names on there? Judah and Sharmba. Enough said.
This is complete and utter BS. This is the kind of thing that discredits the valid points you have to say about Floyd.

If Floyd ever wanted Tszyu's belts, he would have had his chance. Hell, he could forced Tszyu to fight a mandatory or be stripped. Floyd never did either. Tszyu never ran from division to division fighting bums. He stayed right there. Floyd is the one who ran. No question.

There's an article on the net right now, where even now, EVEN NOW, 38 years old and in retirement, Tszyu says a fight with Mayweather would be great. Google Kostya Tszyu and find it yourself.

What's with the PPV bull****? You think by fighting Gatti instead of Tszyu his PPV status was raised? Wrong. A Tszyu-Mayweather fight back then would have been a blockbuster. But, evidently, being the marketing major that you seem to be, you've come onto a novel theory. Washed up Arturo Gatti was a bigger fight than Floyd actually fighting one of the greatest 140s of all time!

Mayweather did not duck Tszyu because he did not force a mandatory situation. That is completely ridiculous.

Would Mayweather have ducked Gatti had he not fought against Henry Bruseles in a WBC final eliminator? What a joke.

Mayweather still says a fight with Tszyu would have been good too.
