1.) When did Manny ever publicly announce that he wanted to fight Floyd even once? Get me something. A real article with a real source. And not mindless Freddie Roach blabber about knocking Floyd out.

To my knowledge ; Manny's never even once let Floyd's name cross his lips.

2.) Floyd needs a tuneup, obviously. Nobody comes off a damn near 2 year layoff and gets in the ring with the #1 fighter in the world right now, that's ******ed.

And he announced the day before Manny/Ricky in order to get his name back out there and take some of the spotlight off of Manny and Ricky and shift it back where he wants it ; himself.

Also pac going for the easier fight? cotto? LMAO, how in the world is that the easier fight....cotto is a packs a hell of a punch, can counter punch very well...and will have about...10 pounds+ on manny....at least with pbf they would almost be equal in weight....And considering how many people on here think cotto will win....and you say hes gonna wipe the floor with him thts a veryyyyyyyyy bold statement...
        Pac will destroy Cotto

Floyd and Pac are GREAT fighters, Cotto is a GOOD fighter

And people saying Floyd ducked Manny is as ****** as saying Manny ducked Floyd

People have a fascination with calling people duckers, they don't even realise the full story

For the PBF-JMM thing, see my post above, I don't want to repeat myself.

As for Cotto ; he's a much easier fight for Manny to win than Floyd. Surely even the most hardcore Pacfan can see that.

Packs a hell of a punch? Who's the last Welterweight he knocked out? Nobody. He's not a power puncher, he's an accumulation puncher. But in order for him to be effective he needs to be able to connect often, and against Manny ; he won't.

Manny's too damn fast, fights on angles, gets in, gets his **** off, and gets out.

And I already touched on the weight advantage earlier ; weight doesn't mean **** if you can't find your target. And Cotto won't be landing much of anything against Pacquiao all night long, mark my words.

And once it's all over, and Manny gets the TKO with ease ; please don't be one of those people who are shocked or amazed by it.

There's a reason why every legitimate boxing writer and analyst in the world is picking Pacquiao in this one.

                • btw in the 1st part when he's speaking in tagalog , pacquiao said , "mas okay ng kung si floyd mayweather. gusto ko yung maraming sinasabi."

loosely translated , "more okay (preferable) if it's floyd mayweather. i like the guys who talk too much."

That doesn't equate to "I'll fight him" or "I want to fight him" like the poster I was responding to said.

Fact is ; Pacquiao has never once mentioned Floyd's name when it wasn't brought up by a reporter.

He's expressed no intrest in fighting him at all.

But that could also just be because Manny is a quiet cat. I can appreciate that as well.

I'm just hoping that once he destroys Cotto and Floyd (unfortunately) does the same to my boy Marquez ; Manny will show a little more intrest in fighting Floyd.
