    Manny Pacquiao surrounded by media

Popular Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao wants to fight Floyd Mayweather, Jr. if he wins over Juan Manuel Marquez in their fight scheduled for July 18th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao thinks that Floyd Mayweather, Jr. will emerge as winner over Juan Manuel Marquez in their July 18th fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mayweather has a lot of advantages. He is faster than Marquez and should be able to win, he said.
If this happens, he said he would like to fight him.
Pacquiao is presently in ****kok on a promotional tour for San Miguel Beer. Earlier he was scheduled to meet with the Thai Prime Minister, Abhisit Vijajjiva.
    ****kok Post reports:
Pol General Kovid Bhakdibhumi, who is also a vice-president of the WBC, paid tribute to Pacquiao's achievements and presented him with an award.
"Manny Pacquiao is not just a hero of the Philippines, he is the hero of all Asia," said Pol Gen Kovid.
"He sets a very good example, both in and out of the ring, with the way he conducts himself."
The popular Filipino boxer who recently scored a second round knock out against Ricky Hatton of England said that he is willing to face Mayweather at any weight between 142-145 pounds.
Many boxing fans believe that Mayweather will win over Juan Manuel Marquez because of his physical superiority and speed. But Marquez may pull an upset that will spoil Mayweather’s plan to face the current pound-for-pound king for a mega purse fight later this year.
    Good looking out.

I just hope to Christ the fight gets made and doesn't fall through because of financial bull****.

i think we're more likely to see pacquiao-mayweather if pacquiao loses to cotto than if pacquiao beats cotto.

I don't want to convince myself of anything ; all I'm saying is that at this point Floyd has expressed more intrest in fighting Manny than Manny has him.

So I don't see how people can say he's ducking Manny. Not when every other week he's mentioning his name.

              I really don't see how.

Ever since the man came out of retirement he can't keep Manny's name out of his mouth.

I think it's pretty obvious he feels jilted a bit by the boxing community and the way that Manny is #1 now even though he's back on the scene.

(Forget logic, Floyd thinks he's #1 no matter how long he's been inactive.)

And I think all of that will really help motivate him to get "up" for this fight.

It'd be nice to have a megafight that lived up to the hype for once.

if pac-floyd ever happens, i dont expect it to live up to the hype. floyd talks like hes gonna beat the hell out of his opponents when in reality he doesnt. just look at the disappointment in the floyd-oscar fight. i see it being the same. the only hype here is that people are expecting pac to shut floyds mouth

like barrera trying not to get knocked out instead of trying to win?

To my knowledge ; Manny's never even once let Floyd's name cross his lips.

2.) Floyd needs a tuneup, obviously. Nobody comes off a damn near 2 year layoff and gets in the ring with the #1 fighter in the world right now, that's ******ed.

And he announced the day before Manny/Ricky in order to get his name back out there and take some of the spotlight off of Manny and Ricky and shift it back where he wants it ; himself.
                      1. A simple google will show articles of different date stating how pacquiao wants to face Mayweather in a fight. The video pink posted even made a few thread in BS about how Manny wanted the one who talks a lot referring to Floyd.

2.I just said that, to show how easy it is to say someone is ducking somebody when in reality they are not. Leave the ducking word to the other poster, you are way better than that. Baiting or not.
