Franko,
You are commenting on something that you weren't in on originally.
The discussion was about Ricky's chin. Hyena said that Ricky's chin was just as good as Oscar's. I was dis*****g that. And I used the LC fight to support my contention.
Now if YOU also think that Hatton's chin is equal/better than Delahoya's, please let me know that. Otherwise, why are you even commenting?Comment

It's a hard comaprison to make, but i've no doubt that De La Hoya has one of the best chin's in the business.Franko,

I will comment how and when i want to, it's a discussion forum, and i was giving my opinion. Sure Hatton was hurt against Collazo, but he still got the win and IMO Hatton was no where near ready for the weight against Collazo. He was ****** taking the fight, and i thought that he would struggle down the stretch.Comment

That "take the belt from the champ" statement is complete bull****. Because if that is the case the non title holding fighter is starting the fight off at a disadvantage which should not be the case. Too many people are starting to give fighters points just because they are aggressive. If you look at the rules of scoring fighters get points for AFFECTIVE AGGRESSION not INaffective aggression. There is a big difference. That take the belt **** is making it seem like if the champ wins 5 rounds and the other fighter wins 7 rounds just because the champ was the aggressor they should win based on that take the belt ****. Thats not fair if you lose you lose. There shouldn't be a biased for the champ just because. Everything should be equal going to the fight.Comment

But when you are commenting on the completely wrong point, you look like an idiot. At least scan back a few posts to see the discussion. You are the master of the non-sequitur.

The discussion isn't about hatton's overall performance in the Collazo fight. Leave that alone.
The discussion was about Hatton's chin as it relates to the mayweather fight.
Oscar can take risks that Ricky can't. HATTON DOES NOT HAVE OSCAR'S CHIN. PERIOD.
Oscar fought 70+ rounds with strong punchers like Shane, Quartey, mayorga, Hopkins, vargas, TRINIDAD, etc. DLH has NEVER looked hurt the way Hatton did vs 10 KO feather-dusting Collazo.Comment

hatton fans always make excusses for him, it wasn't a problem for cotto or mayweather to move up in weight and still dominate but hatton can't because he is not on the same level as floyd or cottoHatton should never have took the fight with Collazo, he wasn't ready for the the weight, but i find it strange that you label him unsuccessful at the weight when he won the fight. Ok, it wasn't a great performance, and he was labouring in the last few rounds, but he still got the decision against a good fighter. As i've stated in a previous thread, i wouldn't make comaprison's with Mayweather and Hatton's career record's because in my opinion Mayweather has the better record, but that's not to say Hatton's record is poor...
Jon Thaxton... He was a good test for Hatton back in 2000.
Tony Pep... Rangey fighter who many thought would trouble Hatton.
Freddie Pendleton... Second Round KO.
Eamon Magee... An undoubted test at the time Hatton fought him, and a good fighter IMO.
Then there was Vince Phillips, Ben Tackie, Carlos Maussa, and Juan Urango, and those fighters have/or had the ability to trouble any opponent, and although Tszyu and Castillo were past their best IMO, there is no doubting that they were viable opponents... Hatton has proven himself a very good fighter, but obviously Mayweather will prove whether Hatton has the potential to become a great fighter.Comment

You mean the Freddie Pendleton who was 38 years old and had TWENTY FIVE (25!!) LOSSES??
THAT GUY?
DO YOU MEAN VINCE PHILLIPS WHO WAS FORTY (40!!) YEARS OLD?Comment

As i stated in a previous post, it's a hard (even ridiculous) comparison to make. And if it is a discussion about Ricky's chin then i don't see anything idiotic about my comment, and that's after reading through the other post's, and i do know that it relates to the Mayweather fight, but the bottom line is that Hatton will have to take risks against Mayweather, regardless of the...'Oscar can take risks that Hatton can't theory... In discussing Hatton's chin you should be looking at his overall career... Using the Collazo fight to emphasise a point you were trying to make is something that i disagree with on the basis that Hatton wasn't ready at the weight, that was just my opinion. I didn't intend to infringe on your debate with another poster, so apologies on my part for that.Commenting is fine. This is a forum and I would never try to infringe on anybody's right.

I'm not making excuses, and perhaps you're right with regards to Mayweather and Cotto, i haven't claimed that he is on the same level as either of those fighters when moving up in weight, but there is the distinct possibility that he just hasn't got it in his make-up to jump through the weight divisions.Comment

Or it could have been that he was preparing to fight an orthodox fighter at light-welterweight and with six weeks notice the fight was changed and he was fighting at a higher weight against a southpaw which is a fudnamental difference and one which has caused Hatton problems in almost all of his toughest fights.Comment
