what difference does it make, if your training to fight it shouldn't matter who your fighting, cotto says he doesn't watch tapes or anything when preparing for a fight he just go's to fight and he adjust to the fighter as the fight go's on.like i said hatton fans always make excusses i just wanna know what the excuse will be when he gets knocked out by mayweather

DO YOU MEAN VINCE PHILLIPS WHO WAS FORTY (40!!) YEARS OLD?
They were fights that would have aided the progress of Hatton at the time, not great fighters by any means... That much is obvious, but like i've stated, every fighter has a padded record to some extent.

All fighters prepare differently and Cotto's preference is not necessarily the gospel. Hatton has had trouble with southpaws throughout his career and the fact that he ignored the advice given to him before and during the fight it is hardly surprising that he did not have his best night. These are not excuses, merely facts that go some way to explaining Hatton's below par performance.

Just a question I have not totally directed at you but part of the bolded statement is needed for my question.
Do yall really feel in all cases fighters just ignore the advice of the corner sometimes or could it be that what the other fighter is doing is not allowing that fighter to do what his corner is advising him to do?

Of course sometimes the other fighter can prevent his opponent from carrying out a gameplan but in this case Hatton was walking straight forward constantly in what was a foolish, dangerous and amateurish tactic. It was a clear case of ignoring advice and only he knows why de did it.

But from what I have seen of Hatton he always walks straight in and forward. But once he gets on the inside is when he steps to the side to throw his hooks to the body. I haven't seen him use angles and things like that from the outside to get inside. I have only seen him use angles once he is already on the inside.
