How can Taylor's chin be untested given his level of competition?

I dunno if I agree with that assessment. I would say that The Hayseed has a solid chin.

Pavlik throws more punches and hits harder then anybody Taylor has ever faced.

Pavlik has fought a much higher level of competition pre-title shot than Taylor did before he fought Hopkins. All Taylor really fought was an old Joppy and a smaller Raul Marquez and his last KO was against Daniel Edouard who has two draws with Dorian Beaupierre who Pavlik starched in two rounds. Pavlik fought an old Mckart who you could compare to Joppy but also fought Zuniga who now owns a fringe belt at supermiddle. Also Zertuche who was on the Mexican Olympic team and when your on that team you know the guy's tough as hell And has done something pre-title shot that Taylor still hasn't done face a puncher like Pavlik did when he fought Miranda.

Good point. I've been talking about the general consensus of opinion on competition faced. But when you break it down, Pavlik has faced some pretty tough comp.

Not according to the official stats. I've seen a few Pavlik fights and never seen him even close to being down.

Taylor was slightly wobbled by Hopkins in the first fight, and the second fight, in the 12th round.
