You are very lucky to have seen 3 videos of Burley, I have seen only one (Smith
II). You should share them, because they must be extremely rare, which fights were they?

From what I have seen his D is working pretty well for him, so I dont know why would you say that he doesnt have great defense, especially since Archie Moore said he was "as slick as lard".

In the video I saw he seems also pretty damn accurate with his jab and his counters.

(I mean people today complain about Mayweather ducking Margarito. What did Margarito ever do that was close to that? nothing)
LOL sorry to say they are the smith fight also just divided into 3 diffrent parts. I must have gotten your hopes to high O.o. Its very hard for me to judge cause youtube has lots of SRR fights and HL and not much on Charley but if anything I'll see if they have more videos maybe I'd find.

I will say again. Four more big big names, and Floyd has to be there right next to Ali. But only after a minimum of four big big names.
I agree with u man..theres a lot of PBF and RJJ haters out there...those two and Pacman have the best legacies in this era...and maybe B-hop

You can find a lot of written material on Burley (just as we have mostly written material for Robinson's prime).

Floyd Mayweather may be the only fighter in history who could have won a world title on professional debut. After his first few fights, against Apodaca and Reggie Sanders, it was evident that Floyd had natural talent. His talent was always there to see and since his early fights he has developed arguably the greatest defence in the history of boxing.

It is obvious that Castillo beat Floyd Mayweather in there first fight, but counting the fight as a loss for Floyd, he is still heading for high grounds. After recently disposing of De La Hoya, Gatti, Baldomir, Mitchell and Judah, Floyd is a level above the best fighters of the current generation.

When being in the middle of an exchange, Floyd unlike any other boxer, can stop throwing punches, and not get to badly hurt by his opponent. His right arm stops body shots and his head is positioned a considerable distance from his opponent making it hard for their shots to have power on impact and hurt Floyd. Combining that with lighting hand speed, his attacking skills are diverse and the best in the world, yet not as good as his defensive skills.

If Floyd beats Hatton in December, he would have dominated this current period in boxing. To further the case for Floyd being considered on high grounds, near the greatest of all, this current period in the lower weights in which Floyd fights is at the highest standard it has ever been. Never have fighters in the lower division posessed power, speed and stamina like they do in this current period.

Its ironic that when the boxing community see greatness they can try to tarnish a fighters image and reputation. Floyd's arrogance may offend and annoy a few supporters, but we have to judge him on what he does in the ring and that is something very very unique.

Expect Floyd to make a mess of Ricky Hatton. Hatton will be stopped in the middle to late rounds. Simply, Ricky has never fought someone with Floyd's defence and he will be unable to tire Floyd by the constant holding. But when Floyd beats Hatton, will we continue to say "Hatton was not that good" and will we continue to line up Floyd's next fight for him and disrespect him by saying his next opponent will win by knock out. Its time we recognize the greatness of Floyd, and accept his cemented legacy as one of boxings greats. If he continues to fight big names like Hatton and win another four bouts against these big names, Floyd may very well overtake Ali as the greatest fighter of all time.

HYENA SAYS: 11. Physically, contemporaries likened the man to a grizzly bear, but Jeffries had bigger thighs. He was noted by historians as being very powerful and they cite a famous incident wherein he shot a mature buck deer and carried it over his shoulders for the 5 mile trek home.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.....LOL....L...O...L. Period. Ali was once confirmed to have beat an elephant with his bare hands and then he carried it 78 miles to the elephants own house where he then beat the momma elephant, too. Bert Sugar was there live and in person and he said ALI WAS THE GREATEST , STRONGEST FIGHTER EVER AND THAT Jack Johnson doesn't know what he is talking about. So this totally disproves your list of 42 ridiculous reasons why Jim Jefrries was the best.

Floyd is good but I wouldn't say great. He probably won't even be remembered that much because whenever he fights its so boring

ICEMAN, if you don't want to believe me, then all you need is to do research Jeffries on your own. The truth is out there. The simple fact is that Ali falls to the "Boilermaker." That's not a controversial observation to the boxing historian.

I understand that Floyd may not have beaten as great of opposition as Ali did in his prime, but what most people tend to forget, is that they're two times apart. People always say "Oh, Ali would have schooled Mike Tyson" or "Tyson would have KO'd Ali" but WE'LL NEVER KNOW. Two different times, two different fighters.

What people have to look at is the quality of opposition AT THAT TIME. It's unfair to compare fighters in different weight classes in different eras. Floyd's beaten a lot of high quality guys of this era, sometimes dominated them like nobody else has before (Gatti, Corrales). Ali also beat the greatest opposition of his time, making him high on the list of the greatest. But if I honestly looked at it right now, if Floyd beats Hatton, Cotto, Mosley, Margarito, Williams and Cintron, even if its like four of those guys, I'd put him in the GOAT category, especially if any of them were dominating victories.

Floyd could also still potentially fight Winky Wright at 154, Mayorga, Forrest, and plenty of people. Whether or not he will do it is one thing, but if he beat a handful of those guys I'd have to say Floyd's definately up there. However, that's just one man's opinion.
