    exactly my point

throw arena size not being big enough out the window

asking for 10,000 out of 16,800 tickets is pretty unreasonable no matter who you are.

of course Hatton has more fans ... boxing is looked at differently in the USA than other countries.

in USA boxing has the NFL, NBA, NASCAR and even tennis to compete with.

Boxing isn't really that popular here anymore. football , rugby and even cricket attract more fans.

good point .. football is absoluty huge. and not just one 1 level.

between College, the superbowl (which is a gigantic spectacle) I find the super bowl and oxymoron. because nobody cares about the actual game. its more a sideshow because of the commercials and half time concert.

its probably one of the bigger sports in the United States.

          three words.

          Monday Night Football.

              FLOYD IS AMERICAN!!

Did you see that for Holyfield? Jones? Mosley? ...even Tyson?

American fans don't do that. Ethnic ********** or foreign fans root for their fighter for nationalism. It is deeply emotional for them. Americans don't generally do that. It isn't a part of their culture.

Evander Holyfield (aka Evan Fields) has sold BIG numbers. Fans clap when he walked in, then sat the **** down, and watched the fight. No gay little songs, no signs, no sissy dances.

Tyson? People were crazy over Tyson during his prime. People respected the fact that he absolutely came in the ring with intent to destroy his opponent. Not win a safe points victory.

How many americans went to Japan to watch Tyson fight, 10k? HELL NO. That is just not what Americans are known to do if boxing was the top sport we would have 40k worth of Americans filling up the MAN arena, but that just isn't the case.

Is that why Floyd sells more PPVs than Hatton, because Hatton has more fans? Dude, get off Hatton's **** already.

Boxing is in no way the top sport in England..... people just love Ricky here because he is just one of the lads and has a lot of heart and determination, much like Frank Bruno was.
