    It's a different culture.
Absolutely, and nobody can say that Ricky has more fans than Oscar De La Hoya.

Also, for those who want more people in attendance: have you ever stopped to think how terrible the view would be if you put 50K fans in a stadium? I mean, come on, you'd barely be able to distinguish the three men in the ring, much less figure out who's landing the better punches. I think 20K is about the max for a boxing match. Anything more and you risk being too far away from the action and you'd be much better off just watching it on TV.

The view may not be great but the experience certainly would.

That is what makes the Hatton groupies so insufferable. And leads RH to believe that he is actually an "exciting" fighter.

Much of the hate that Rickety gets isn't directed so much at him, as it is reflected hate directed towards his obnoxious groupies. Those are the people who will tell you that Hatton beat a prime Castillo.
i agree with dios, i didn't have a problem with hatton until after the tszyu fight. hatton deserves credit for beating tszyu but ever since that fight he has been hyped up as one of the best fighters, he's even considered as 1 of the top pound for pound boxers in the sport but in my oppinion has not even fought the top fighters in his division.

anyway i just don't like hatton because he is way to over rated and is not even in the same league with most of the top boxers in the sport

That's a smart idea. Come to Vegas and start trouble. Vegas is a GREAT place to do crime. No law enforcement there.

Listen. By 10pm Vegas time, the Strip will be full of dejected Hatton groupies just looking to drown their sorrows in alcohol.

So let him cry about it. **** him, so what if he doesn't have all of his fans from the UK there to cheer him on from what alot of guys say on here is that he has more fans here than Floyd does so why is he worried about it.

thats well over half the entire capacity of the MGM Grand.

your telling me, the MGM Grand which holds a lil over 16 thousand .. is gonna only leave 5,000 tickets for celebrities and Americans?
**** celebraties. If average people are willing to pay for and can get tickets then **** the actors and rappers who probably get there ringside tickets for free anyway.

The seat allocation should be 50/50 for each fighter. If Hatton wants more and cant get it then tough ****. the fans who cant get seats will have to watch it in a bar. Same goes for Floyds fans.

That would be poor marketing strategy. That is short-sighted.

There's a reason that they always show the ringside celebrities. The people at home are aspirational and then want to attend, or at least watch, a future fight. They are "selling" the cachet of the big event.

Nobody will want to attend a fight just because they see Colin McDrunkard or Seamus O'Browntooth sitting ringside.

Floyd's biggest fight up to that point was Arturo Gatti. PBF walked into Boardwalk Hall with probably under fifty fans out of 12,000. A minute and a half later, the place was quiet as a library.

What Hatton should do is shut up, go into the MGM Grand Garden, punish Floyd for three or four rounds and knock him out. That would earn him all the American fans he can stand.

                      Earn your American fans, Rick.
