I will agree that against the higher level opponents, Hatton has held more (vs Castillo, Collazo)

cuz when the level of opponent isn't high, he motors right through them.

If Hatton does what you mentioned above, then what does Floyd do? He is not a beautiful combination puncher like Mel**** Taylor. He throws a right hand and gets on his bike. Every time out.

Thats boxing though....win...but against who u win is the question........if hatton had mayweathers resume i dont care how he fights....i would give him credit.... but the only 2 world class talents he's beaten are tzou and castillo...and i never discredited him by saying they were washed up or to old i gave hatton his credit...who else has he beaten...with his style....how about this u list who mayweather has beaten with his style..... and dont foget mayweather is a great fighter inside and out he just chooses to not go inside.....

No, because I don't think he's overrated. Perhaps he is by his own Manchester following, but that's about it. Nobody else on this board, as far as the general opinion goes, gives Ricky Hatton much credit at all. If anything, he's underrated. He's expected to lose to Mayweather, anybody who knows anything about boxing and it's styles knows that.

Hatton is expected to lose to Mayweather, and if he does I won't say Hatton was overrated. He's an undefeated, young Champion in his prime with 2 high profile wins and 1 very underrated win (Carlos Maussa) on his resume. If Ricky loses, it's not a matter of him sucking. It's a matter of Mayweather dominating.

Conversely, in the highly unlikely even that Hatton manages to edge out some form of win. He deserves all the credit in th world for it, same goes for Mayweather because both Mayweather and Hatton are fighting undefeated, p4p champions in their primes. Fighter of the year for whoever wins IMO.

I will not throw a blanket of suckery upon Ricky for a mere loss.

If RH shows an ability to adapt, react, and trouble The Floyd, then I will give RH much credit. Hell, even Oscar didn't force PBF to take it out of second gear.

But if this fight looks Manfredy/Corrales or (heaven forbid) Gatti-esque, then....

I can agree with that.............but dont say because at one point he tore through people or that he didnt clinch than but does now...it dosent matter...hatton can use his old style or new style and he's gona lose .... by alot........
