    • I can really only name a few names on Mayweather's resume that really stand out

      Delahoya
      Corrales
      Castillo x 2
Hernandez (washed up at that time, though)

Hall of Fame material for sure. But it aint that good. He deserves credit for always being in shape, winning easily most of the time but he cant hold Pernell's jockstrap.

And as for your your comment about Mayweather not choosing to go inside. Shut it. He holds and sticks that elbow in your face just as much as Hatton. If he squared up he could throw some good uppercuts and hooks but he doesn't do so and has that weird boxing stance that doesnt allow him to do so.

I never said Carlos Maussa was "World Class Talent", stop putting words in my mouth. Maussa had a record for being an extremely gritty, tough guy for anyone, with a very underrated chin and power. he had previously never been knocked out and Ricky managed to knock him out in 9 rounds. Hatton is unbeaten vs a lot of tough competition, none of whom you'd know because you've already admitted you don't respect boxers who fight most of their fights overseas.

But here's a short list of who Hatton has beat and their records at the time that Hatton beat them....

          Stephen Smith 31-1-0
          Aldo Nazareno Rios 35-2-0
          Dennis Pederson 44-2-0
          Carlos Vilches 41-4-2
          Ray Oliveira 47-9-2

Granted he doesn't have as many unbeaten men on his record as Mayweather, but his competition hasn't been complete washouts like Brian Coleman either. (Coleman was a guy Hatton fought shortly into his career who had 72 losses)

But I doubt you'll say any of those guys matter either, because you've never heard of them. I watch boxing from all around the world, not just in my own Country. Hatton's management sucks **** and should've gotten him over here much sooner but couldn't manage it.

He fought like a madman, he fought like it was life or death..

If that guy shows up against Mayweather - and we're not too far removed from 2005 or the circumstances that would drive Hatton into a frenzy - there's a better than 50% chance in my mind that that guy beats Floyd.

Strategy and science are not part of my equation.

It's more about natural law and Animal Planet for this one..
Its not always about ur gameplan its if the opponent allows u to carry out ur gamplan....example very small one though....in castillo versus mayweather 2 .... castillo said in his corner i believe round 6... and i quote.."i cant hit the guy"....so ur telling me his gameplan was to not hit floyd or was it to hit floyd but floyd didnt let him do that.... so u think that if hatton shows up like he did against tzou...and i dont think ur comparing tzou to mayweather...u think hatton can do what he did against tzou and do the same thing against floyd....lol..u serious.... but ok ill take it as such because of animal planet...lol...ill give u one of my own animal planet that was more like a thief in the night slicing a throat and disappearing because it wasnt as frenzied... when corrales was destroying the opponents mayweather was fighting... mayweather got upset and told hbo what the **** why are u giving this guy more attention ..well said hbo u havent been fighting for about a year...u arent as exciting...mayweather said i want to fight with hbo and alot...first fight against corrales...they said ur krazy take a tune up fight...what did floyd say ...nah ill do corrales first...and God bless the dead....but what happened in that fight?....and dont discredit corrales ohhh he was dry in that fight.....because i gave hatton full credit for his fights against tzou and castillo.......the only 2 fights he's won worth mentioning.......

              • volley is one of the ******er terms you could have used.

it means to hit back in forth. tennis, soccer, ping pong

if you hit something back and forth .. thats called volleying.

                hint .. volleyball.

*what if Hatton can't fight aggresive, all out, without the holding. see vs Tzyou.

Ricky is fast on his feet, but he's no Zab Judah.

is there any indication of how fast ricky is on his feet? the castillo fight not a good comparison cuz Castillo was a sitting duck

                • I mean yeah Hatton had a hell of a performace vs Kostya.

but that was 2005. and the last time he went 12 rounds was vs Urango and wasn't very impressive

No, you said "and you think maussa is a world class talent?". Not "do you", but that is neither here nor there.

Certainly an argument could be made against some of Mayweather's competition not being world class talent either. Arturo Gatti, a byproduct of the HBO hype machine, who couldn't win a golden gloves tournament to save his life springs to mind.

But that's not the issue here, the issue is Hatton gets 0 respect. And I'm willing to bet that 99% of the people here who constantly drag his name through the mud, couldn't achieve what Hatton has in the ring, if they even had to balls to get in the ring in the first place.
