He has to beat Hatton, Cotto/Mosley and then he will be up there.

IF Floyd stops the great Ricky Hatton, is PBF the GOAT?

Why do people talk about Floyd not ever cleaning out the division? I mean, does no one ****ing remember that he competed at 130? He beat the reigning champion (Genaro Hernandez), the big puncher who came down (Diego Corrales) and the up-and-comer in the division (Jesus Chavez)... still, like everything else in the world, people only like to focus on the negative.
There is no way that the Hatton win puts him as the GOAT. I don't think Floyd can do anything but wait 50 or 60 years to even have a chance to be the GOAT. Boxing historians always err to history it seems, and until this era becomes history, there is not a hope in the world that he will be recognized. I can't imagine how many people were laughed at for saying that Marvin Hagler was a better middleweight than Carlos Monzon, but perspective has changed since he went out, mostly because not only is his career done, but everyone that he fought's careers are done too, so it is much easier to judge. The same applies to all of the current is X fighter the best of X division or the best of all time.

PBF will win but he wont be the GOAT that honour goes to the great Sugar Ray Robbinson!!! No matter what floyd does to Hatton he will never be on the same level as SRR!!!

I think if PBF dominates Hatton or destroys him then he will be generally regarded as the best fighter of his generation (which I think he is already) but the Greatest of all time??? I dont think so, I would put SRR, Hearns, SRL, Duran, Chavez and a couple of others in front of him.

I don't think you could put any fighter in contention for greatest of all time before they have permanently retired and we've had a chance to reflect on their legacy. Beating Hatton decisively would give Floyd a shout at being the greatest fighter in the last ten years, but all time is a significantly taller order.
Let's not forget that Roy Jones Junior was being bandied around as GOAT when he was beating everybody.

No he is not the G.O.A.T!
He would have to beat Hatton, Cotto and Mosley then move up and beat Winky/Taylor/B-Hop to even be considered to be in the top 5 GOAT

I don't think he should be considered the GOAT. That is SRR and that really can't be challengend by any fighter in our generation. There, I am certain will come someone who can achieve the accomplishment. Floyd is not him. Now, top 10 GOAT, I think I can acquiesce to that.

Hatton has had 42 fights at 140. In those 42 fights, he didn't face a prime Castillo. Or Corrales. Or Witter. Or a prime Tszyu. Or Judah. Or Cotto. Or casamayor. Or Freitas. Or Chavez. Or.....
This is America. This is where the big fights are. If you want to be considered "a great" , you come here. Deal with it. BHop is an all-time great. He RARELY fought overseas.
HOW MANY FIGHTS DID SUGAR RAY LEONARD WIN OUTSIDE OF THE USA? IS HE AN ALL-TIME GREAT? lmao

Paulie Malignaggi said that PBF would have beaten Ray Robinson.
