no way should floyd even be mentioned next to the names of muhammad ali, joe louis, and sugar ray robinson.

not the way his career's been and where its going.

Its posible but hes gonna have to look forward. I mean do something that will catch the eyes of many. Thats beat Cotto, SSM, Paul Williams then go for a top middleweight fighter. I already have him as one of the greatest. But to be put in the same league as those that u have mention thats what he has to do.

          1. BUT RH fought in the U.K for to long and was being compared to PBF. So PBF wanted to fight him b4 and RH said he wasn't ready. When in reality he didn't want to fight PBF.
          2. If u move up to 147 and win ur first fight there. Why would you go back down to 140. For to many people it seemed like he punk out.
          3. RH says 147 is to big for him. How is 147 to big for him when he comes weighing in at 150+.
Thats why people dislike him. The ONLY and I mean ONLY credit I give RH is that he is fighting PBF here in the U.S unlike Joe Calzaghe who wants to continue fighting bums and doesn't want to prove anything to world ONLY U.K
The bold is what I don't understand either. And thats not just for Hatton it is for all the boxers who weigh in on fight night like 10+ lbs heavier than the weight they fighting at but say the next weight class is to heavy for them. What kind of **** is that!!!

            1) How has Floyd's career "been"?
            2) Where is Floyd's career "going"?

Floyd had 30 fights at 130/135. That means that was his natural weight.

And you want him to go beat a top middleweight?

PBF is smaller than Shane. But we all acknowledge that MW is too big for Shane. Hell, we think (and SSM thinks) that 154 is too big for him.

Hatton after fighting Collazo at 147: "147 is too big for me. I'm not a welterweight".

Mayweather about fighting Delahoya at 154: "Make the fight at any weight. Weight don't win fights".

And Collazo may be the most asspaper-fisted WW out there. He has ZERO power.

Hatton is a devastating bodypuncher who wore down the great Kostya Tszyu, and stopped Castillo on a brutal bodyshot.

If Floyd is able to dominate and KO/TKO this monster, does that mean PBF belongs in the discussion of GOATs?
no, but he will be closer. there are a list of names that floyd has to beat in order to be considered an GOAT.

cotto, mosley, williams, clottey, cintron, and maybe margarito.

floyd has to fight guys in their prime and beat them. he needs to fight and take belts in order to go down as an all time great.

the fact of the matter is, his record will never compare to all time greats because he just doesn't have the same competition on his resume like a Ali, or a Leonard, or and Ray Robinson, and many other great fighters that have had 100+ fights, correction 100+ wins.

you can't just beat hand picked opponents, avoid the real threats, retire and then call yourself the greatest, TO BE THE GREATEST IT HAS TO BE RECOGNIZED BY NOT ONLY THE MAJORITY OF EXPERTS, THE PRESS, THE FANS AND MOST IMPORTANT HIS PEERS AMONG HIM IN BOXING..........

he can be SELF PROCLAIMED the greatest like his dad did with being the WORLDS BEST TRAINER, but that is self proclaimed EGO.............

i think GOAT is used too loosely, it should be held with higher regard.

The guys in the next weightclass are doing the same, so going from 140 to 147 is really going from 150 to 157.

He has more power than Baldomir.
